    Yeah my 2018 Ace 500 was all over the snowy atv Trail almost hit trees!!! My son was on his Honda Rancher he just fly through trails easy!!!

      @rockspowersports  Před rokem

      @Mark Hight Wow, I kind of figured it was just because of the hard tires on this thing but maybe that's not the case...

      @@rockspowersports I think it’s because from axle stays free until rear tires start spinning then front kick on while the push button for 4x4 is “on”. My son Honda rancher always stays on 4x4 with push button 4x4 “on”.
      I could be wrong, just noticed rear spin first when I slammed on gas pedal.

      @rockspowersports  Před rokem +1

      @Mark Hight You are probably right. I notice when you left off the gas with the Polaris the rear wheels lock up bad and the front free wheel causing some skidding, even if your in AWD…

    Just your friendly neighbourhood bad influence. You should do a top speed run. I’ve got a 1990 Polaris 450 2 stroke with a bald front tires no helmet just flying through the trail at full throttle. My face just about freezes off though 🥶

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  Před rokem

      @Stupid Canadian If I still had this machine I would most certainly do a top speed run but I already sold it.. I bet your bald tires had more traction than these rock hard tires lol

      @@rockspowersports probably not since they’re probably the original 1990 tires on the front but the rear has some really good knobby mid 2000s tires on them that can plough me through 1ft of snow at 40-50 mph. Might be a bit of an exaggeration but you get the point. Oh yeah I kind of just started to fix the damn thing because it was bogging down after you really give it and then it stalls. I thought I might clean the carb after running it like this for 2ish weeks. I take the air box out and about half a cup of gas goes everywhere. There’s no overflow drain under the carb there’s a overflow drain coming out of the intake of the carb. Gotta love Polaris’s. I had no idea that the needle was stuck yet it some how managed to carry my fat ass around for a couple weeks😂

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  Před rokem

      @Stupid Canadian Wow I’m surprised she even started with that much fuel getting dumped into the air box. I’m pretty sure there is supposed to be a overflow drain on the bottom on the carb bowl, most do anyways. It possibly couple be plugged with dirt.

    I want one, because I use a wheelchair for mobility. I can't use a snowmobile or an ATV that you mount like a motorcycle because I lack the balance. Also, because of the limitations of my car and 4x6 lightweight trailer, I can't get a side by side, so this is really the only option for me. My car can't handle a heavier side by side with a heavy duty trailer because the towing capacity of my Audi TTS is only 1000lbs. It is really hard to find one with with EPS and the full doors in good condition. I like that in stock form it is only 48" wide, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight situations. The only ones I ever see available are either the 325cc(too weak) or the 900cc(way too hard on gas) ones and they are way overpriced. Keep on riding.

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  Před rokem

      @fasdude38 It sounds like one of these Polaris ace’s would be good for you. I wouldn’t knock out the 325 unless you’ve already tried one. They may not be quite as powerful as the 570 but there still very capable. Around my area the 325 can be picked up quite a bit cheaper than the 570.
      I would definitely recommend getting one with eps, it will make driving it a whole lot easier. I’m glad to hear that your lack of mobility isn’t stopping you from having some good old off-road fun.

    A few months ago I picked up a used 570 ace. Definitely not that great in snow. Nothing like my rzr 800 in snow. Must be the way the ace is balanced with more weight up front or something.

    When I got my ACE 570 I took it out in the snow (cornfields, pastures and b grade roads. Snow was 8 Inches and fresh. No issues with sterring in AWD ! I am wondering if yours is not engaging in AWD! Speeds up to 45mph down picked corn rows to boot.

    • @rockspowersports

      AWD was working. I think it was just the super rock hard tires.

      Good to hear! I love my ACE. When I am healthy without back and joint issues, Its my trapping vehicle. I am 67 and it seems like as slow as I drive it, it will go anywhere. Be safe and have a Merry Christmas!

      @@kevinasbery6119 I mean depending on how you drive anything can be tipped on it’s side. I’ve tipped a rzr over before blowing a donut and catching a rock in the trail. I would say this ace is more stable than an atv as you sit lower into it.
