    This was a great tutorial! It is also one of the easiest kiwi tutorials that I could find! Personally I like to put my canes in the freezer for 15-30 minutes and then cut instead of baking the clay before cutting the canes

    Amazing tutorial thank you! You mention baking the canes before slicing-- how long do you bake them, and are they difficult to slice afterward? Do you add them and rebake when you place them onto mini food, or just attach with glue to an already baked base piece? Thank you!

      The banking depends of your clay brand, premo bakes at 175 celsius for 1 hour. And the baking depends of what you'll do, if for instance you're making slices for slime let's say then you need to fully cook them (1 hour) then with a fimo cutter of blade you can easily slice them. If you're making something that requires a double baking, then you only need to half bake them so they won't burn with the 2nd bake. Hope that helps 👍

      About 1 hour at 135° Celcius but check your polymer clay brand some may vary 😊

    You mentioned to bake the cane before cutting it, what are your recommendations as far as temperature and time? I would love to make some of these to add to my glitter. Thank you

      Temperature and time depends on the brand you are using, I use Premo and I bake mine for 60 minutes at 175 Celsius. With that baking time they won't break and you can use for any project 👍👍

    How do you bake clay and then cut it. If I do that my clay just cracks and crumbles.... And the cuts are never smooth

      A harder clay like Fimo or Premo is needed to make canes, also try rolling or squishing slowly 👍👍

      Only if the project requires it, you can leave them like that and use in projects that will be baked 💕

    What do you even use it for? What type of blade to cut it with, exacto knife? How do you make them smaller? Can they be really big? What brand of clay? And lastly, what temp? I cooked clay as the recommended and it wasnt fully baked, it was really flimsy
