The SI community appreciates this so much
The magnaflow sounds good actually I like how it’s kinda quiet
quiet but not so much combined with DP/FP upgrade. Its pretty good form the inside but definitely louder from oem. Cruising around 2500-3000 rpm on the highway you'll definitely ear it inside
I love that you've made another one! Your first video helped me decide on the DD-R, keep up the awesome 10th gen content!
And here we are, still rocking the DDR 😆
It's illegal in California tho 😔
I just Installed a s-type borla today on my 2021 Honda Civic sport hatchback manual, and that thing is amazing. Shifting gears sounds dope asf.
Love Project FC3, these videos help out a lot when looking at the options. Helped me decide on the ARK system works
Are you loving the Ark? Thats the one I fell in love with.
10th Gen Si content always hits different 😌
That aFE is going to drone like crazy. I did like the Magnaflow a lot more on this car.
Damn it! I love the way the 2nd one looks but the 3 rd one sounds great! If I had them all I would mix them up! Sorry but I'm just weird like that! 🤘😎 Great job
I tried to buy the HKS exhaust in 2020 based off the last video like this that you did. HKS were backordered for 10 months. I ended up buying the Ark DT-S based off that same video and I couldn't be happier. Sounds great, is really pretty, and after detailing the car after a 2k mile road trip, I can say the Ark cleans right back up after the winter and getting full of carbon.
Awesome! It was meant to be.
I love my magnaflow. It’s in stock front/down pipe, can’t wait to upgrade that.
Great! I'm sure that's a nice mellow tone - and you can see it remained pretty civil, even with a downpipe.
I doubt downpipe will change much unless you upgrade turbo other than louder and check engine light w/o tune.
Love the sound of the magnaflow exhaust 👍
I purchased the ark performance exhaust from the last video you did...loved the sound...now I'm full 3" all the way out...with a catless dp.....couldn't be happier
Right on!
That’s the setup im about to run! Ordering it all August 2nd.
I’d love to see you try out AWE’s options next time (if there is a next time)
For anyone looking for the perfect exhaust set up on the x gen Si do a catted or catless prl down pipe and front pipe then followed by a BORLA S Type. You will get the best sound out of the Si with this setup. I had it and always got compliments from people, they couldn’t believe a civic could sound that good. You get a few pops and bangs every once in a while but nothing too annoying and at wide open throttle it sounds great. The borla is a little pricey but honestly perfect for the Si. I know there are hardly videos out there with that setup but once people figure out how great it sounds they will flood the internet with them
Did you check out our previous 10th gen exhaust video as well? The Borla S-Type is one of the exhausts we installed and tested, and yes, it does sound excellent! czcams.com/video/rDOj0TLwmvM/video.html
I love your exhaust videos for the Civic 10. Could be cool after testing the sound of the exhaust, getting the exhaust system tested with a power measurement of hp and torque. 🙂
I liked the Magnaflow sound the best for my daily 1.5T HB. 👍
Good choice!
This video was the reason I decided on getting the Magnaflow Exhaust. Thank you!
Does it drone as I love the sound of it but as its the main family car don't want it to give everyone headaches
Does it drone?
magnaflow sounded best...sounds better than the ddr too.
I had ddr for about 2 months and i hated it.. no tone just loud all the time. currently running remark and I like it much better...might have to try the magnaflow out now. thanks for making these videos for the community!!
I have a magna for my 2017 SI and I love it 10/10
\o/ Yup, best 10th gen civic exhaust video ever!
Lol I see my truck in the parking lot from when I picked up my coilovers 😂
I installed the Greddy DDR…. One of the best sounding in my opinion!!!
That, and it looks awesome as well!
@@EdgeAutosport facts
Had 3 exhausts on my Si Sedan and the Full Race was by far my favorite. Zero fitment issues but I didn't have a coupe. It sounds and looks amazing. Super well made also.
How loud was your full race exhaust? Seems pretty tame but still sounds good from what I’ve seen
@@aarono7404, It was tame when you wanted it to be which is important to me in a DD. When you're pushing the car, the exhaust wakes up. I have a Type R now and the AWE Touring Exhaust with a Catted PRL Downpipe definitely gets annoying because it's never tame.
I have a full race currently but my downpipe is catless and the drone is bad especially at 3k rpms doing 80
@@keithbegley888, Yeah when I had the Si I had the stock downpipe with the Exhaust so it was perfect. Now with my FK8 the same situation as you. The AWE Touring Exhaust with the stock downpipe was fine. After I installed the Catted PRL downpipe with it the drone got pretty bad. At highway speeds its there at all times.
@@thinkforyourself5672 well I’m making some serious power thanks to my Garret turbo so the downpipe Prl provides for said turbo kit isn’t like the one for stock turbo. Regardless it’s loud as hell but hearing the ball bearing whistles is worth it plus it’s not like I listen to the radio lol my exhaust is the music to my ears. And it’s not a daily. I’ve been thinking about getting a 27won exhaust because the quality is amazing
The tips on the magnaflow are the same tips for the 9th gen accord v6 catback that's awesome
Hell yea! Glad to see you guys still at it. It HAS been a minute since the exhaust lineup video, but so good to see new stuff! Really like the low tones out of the MagnaFlow. Seemed to be purpose tuned, while the other two... not so much. Did you happen to do any highway time with the MagnaFlow? I'm curious about highway drone.
highway should be fine. mine is similar to this but general road noise is an issue with these cars and if your exhaust sounds intrude a bit much, its easy to tame them with some strategic insulation like a piece of lighweight pad under the rear seats and other things
@@jamesmedina2062 Cool, Thanks brother! I own a '19 Si and it definitely has its share of road noise (some surfaces are almost unbearable, lol) - but I appreciate the input about the exhaust. I'll probably do a little sound deadening for stereo at some point and I'll keep that advice in mind. TY! Peace.
@@marrowdreign Yeah you are right. I grab cheap stuff at junkyards. On Civic sedans I think Honda used a better felt type wheel well liner that is fastened with about 7 fasteners. A narrow screwdriver lifts the center of those plastic fasteners and you could swap it to yours or you could buy black wool felt and stick it onto your liners with 3M waterproof spray glue. Mine has remained well adhered despite some heavy rains and even snow. That made a big improvement. I used DEI aluminum/fiberglass tunnel and firewall material and used it in the tunnel area and above the exhaust joint between the front pipe and the rear pipe section. Doors for sure need done. Dont make them heavy though with Dynamat. Buy a lightweight closed cell foam material on Ebay with adhesive backing and stick it on inside of door skin and use Lexus insulation you can buy for 5 bucks at your junkyard and apply that to inside of door panels. They come off super easy. Its a Honda! Take care. What tires you using? I am using Toyo Extensa II and they are quiet.
@@jamesmedina2062 that's a good tip about the Lexus insulation. I hadn't even thought of that. I didn't want to use dynamat because of the weight. I'm trying to get the most bang for your buck with light materials. These are good tips. I'm still rolling on factory rubber but replacing them soon they're at about 30%. (All season) I'm shopping around for new rubber but haven't decided who I want to go with yet.
Did you notice any mileage change when you went with the toyos?
Aweee maaan, you guys never did the AWE exhaust.. your videos kill it.. so much useful information on every single one
Thanks! And no, not YET... but we will add it to the list! Maybe when the weather gets warmer lol
I wish you would of reviewed the MAPerformace quad tip race exhaust. I have it on my 2018 civic si and I love the way it sounds and looks. I dont have have a downpipe or frontpipe installed yet, waiting on clutch, flywheel, intercooler and charge pipes to be delivered to get it all installed but with a aftermarket downpipe the tone sounds great with the quad tip race exhaust.
Making the 10th gen great again 😁
Except it never stopped being great. :-D
That’s very weird on the Full race exhaust because I have the exact same one on my coupe and I don’t have any fitment issues. The only slight issue if I should say was the same hanger you were talking about but I was able to straighten it out it wasn’t as crooked as how yours came out.
Regardless it’s my favorite exhaust to have on these 1.5L and on the 8th gen and 9th gen Si. 🔥
Interesting. We may have simply received an imperfect kit, then. Either way, glad yours fit up awesome, as we also loved the sound.
I run the HKS on my SI and love it.
How loud is it?From what I’ve heard the hks is pretty tame but sounds good.
Can y’all do the one that Skunk 2 makes. I can’t find no videos of how it sounds like. Would be very much appreciated
Maybe I missed it in the video, but could you guys give a full list of whats already done to the car to add to the exhaust sound? Is there a different turbo? FP/DP? BOV? CAI? I really want to add some volume to my stock Si, but I'm not sure how much of the sound is from the exhaust itself vs. other changes to the car making it sound more aggressive.
Nice!!
Thanks for tuning in!
Which do you recommed greddy ddr, hks or magnaflow? Less drone?
My full race exhaust was a pain to connect to the hangers too. Once I got it on, I just left it because it’s centered
Love the video!! But I have a question, so any of these catback exhaust replace the FrontPipes? I was thinking of getting an exhaust but I just installed a Invidia front pipe. And I don’t want to have an extra frontpipe laying around
Nope, you're good! These connect at the front pipe, and will utilize your new front pipe.
Can you please please do a sound clip of the skunk2 mega barrel 🙏
That 'Hot tip' pun was very classy. Keep it up JP... Not wearing that Columbia shirt in vain I see
Also that last exhaust is 🤌🏻 , just the fitment made me cringe a bit, but damn it sounds good
Thanks for the video man looking to install Exhaust not that loud wish one do you recommend?
It's all up to your ears, really - did you watch the other exhaust video going over 7 kits? We would stand behind the Full Race and Ark DT-S as great sounding kits: edgeautosport.com/ark-performance-dt-s-exhaust-system-burnt-tips-honda-civic-si-sedan-only-2017-2019/ - edgeautosport.com/full-race-exhaust-system-honda-civic-si-2017-2021/
I love the FC3 content. Quick question I recently purchased a used catless DP would I need a new turbo gasket installing it?
It is generally a good practice to put a fresh gasket on there... better than pulling it off again if it leaks eh
@@EdgeAutosport Alright ill be purchasing it from yall then, heres to hoping I dont break a stud 🤞
Can the magnaflow fit on my 2021 Hatch Civic EX? 🤞 thank you.
does the full race exhaust fit 2021 civic hatchback ex ?
Have you or are you ever planning on installing a whiteline anti roll kit on the FC3? There aren't any "how to" videos out there yet, id like to get your input and see the difference as well, would be a good video to make in my opinion.
We have some track days planned this season, and some more race-y mods coming, so we may just cross this off our list as well!
is that aFE exhaust will fit on my 2019 honda civic coupe sport?
Did Full Race ever respond back to you about the fitment issue? Hoping they fixed the issue, because I was really wanting to purchase this one
Yep! we did a video, even: czcams.com/video/Zoip46qCnXQ/video.html
3inch straight piped exhaust does it gas scavenge?
Those 3 exhaust are awesome. But of all 3 the magnaflow puts me on attention. Sounds great not too much loud. Im not a fan on the loud exhaust. Afe exhaust in my opinion it is too much aggressive and loud.
Yeah, Magnaflow had a great sound! Hope we helped you narrow down your choices
I have the magnaflow and it’s the best. Not too loud not to low.
Love the videos.looking for a deep, non raspy exhaust for my stock 17 si.looking for the best.any info would be awesome
Make sure to watch our other video with 7 more Civic exhausts! Choosing an exhaust note is all based on your taste, so pick out the one you think sounds best, or give us a call and we can help you decide.
@@EdgeAutosport thanks I appreciate it!
I have the Full Race cat back exhaust on my 18’ FC3 and love the sound but unfortunately I also have the same fitment issue as you
Sorry it fit weird for you too, but we appreciate you letting us know!
Will the afe exhaust fit on a hatchback sport?
I’m surprised I don’t see the skunk2 exhaust for the civic, I installed a skunk2 Mega Power Double Barrel Exhaust on my civic sport hatchback n it’s really nice, it’s got 3 inch pipes all 304 stainless & 4 inch tips stainless as well, any reason why you guys didn’t give that 1 a shot?
We've got it in to test next - stay tuned!
can my 2018 EX-T fit a Borla exhaust??? or no🥺
Is the lx fine to do this with
Probably won’t see this but would you know if any of these exhausts will fit the 2.0 version?
where’d you get the wing from, it looks like the wrc wing
would these work for a honda civic sport coupe?
What downpipe did you use?
Edge should look at the Skunk2 Megapower for the FC3. Curious what that sounds like with and without the tip silencers. Full-Race quality has gone down hill massively over the years. Bought a SFWD traction bar kit for my ITR, horrible quality. Seems like only China quality coming from them.
I would like that full race
Once we finish R&D and resolve this fitment issue, we usually sell off the exhausts discounted. You can email support if you want to put your name down for it! No guarantees on what we do with it though.
I cant find the full race exhaust anywhere, and the link in the description doesn’t work for it. I have a 1.5sport hatch
I have a high flow downpipe do you guys think it will burble with any of these exhausts?
You should get some off-throttle burbles, yeah - if you wants crackles, that's a special tune
I'm sure the clamp was fine, you don't need to crank them down super tight. And if you know the clamp is "dinky" why would you "crank it down pretty good" just get it snug and it's fine it doesn't see very strong forces.
I got the MF and I love it but i installed a bigger turbo and it’s a restrictor. Any advice on the exhaust?
If you are looking for maximum flow, try the "Track" system from AWE: edgeautosport.com/awe-tuning-track-edition-catback-exhaust-dual-polished-tips-honda-civic-si-coupe-and-sedan-2017-2019/ - there's not much in the way there!
Can you guys make one of these for the 11th gen Si?
Unfortunately, we don't have an 11th gen to do tests on
What rpm are you guys shifting at? I know in this vid you said grip was bad so you couldn’t get a good pull, but the other vid seems like you were shifting around 4K. Would be cool to hear a shift at 5500 after the turbo really kicks in.
I honestly can't remember but I remember when we shot this it was so cold out and grip wasn't there. We will normally always do full RPM sweeps on videos that was a bad day to finish that video.
Would like to see skunk2’s exhaust, great content and information
Yeah me too.
I guarantee the JUNK2 sounds like a wet fart...they make 🗑
We will add it to the list, see if we cant get another video going.
@@twoodplmbr good to know. The price is much less than the others
@@EdgeAutosport please another video
is there a BOV on this car I forget ?
We have the Torque Solutions plate installed on here: edgeautosport.com/torque-solution-blowoff-valve-adapter-red-honda-civic-1-5t-all-2016-2019/
whats the most quite one i want a good tone but not loud cuz these cars dont sound very great then u can make the turbo sound loud
The magnaflow was the most quiet of this video, in our opinion - but it's all rather up to your taste
what is making the pshh sound in the civic, bov? intake?
edgeautosport.com/torque-solution-blowoff-valve-adapter-red-honda-civic-1-5t-all-2016-2019/
Will any of these work on a 2019 Civic EX CVT 1.5 l Turbo-charged?
These are all coupe fitment, but any turbo exhaust should fit - search by your chassis (hatchback, coupe, sedan) as they should work across the same chassis.
can I put these on the 1.0T? and yes i asked just a minute on one of your older vids but i found this one xD
We don't have the 1.0 in the states so we would have no way of confirming fitment for you, sorry!
What happened to the white wing that was on it?
We still have it! It's on our shelves at the moment. It is not for sale if that's what you're asking😎
do you guys have a custom wing on the si?
In this video, the stock wing is on, but we do have a more rally-cross looking wing we need to get wrapped to match the wrap
I am looking for a smooth exhaust, which one do you recommend? I have the full race installed with the down and pront pipe PLM, but sometimes I can't stand the noise inside the cabin, it is very annoying :( the HKS is smooth ???
Its hard to recommend an exhaust, as it's mostly up to your sound preference! That said, the AWE Touring we just tested was very smooth, and so was the Greddy from the first video. ARK exhausts are also a good choice, with that Hemholtz resonator to calm down the dron - You can always give us a call if you need more help choosing!
@@EdgeAutosport thanks by your quick response ... excellent options , I am really liking the exhaust HKS , what is its sound inside the cabin , is soft or annoying ??
My question is what are my options for a 16 civic ex-t sedan. I do see that magnaflow has one but what others do you carry at your shop?
Looks like Magnaflow, ARK, and HKS are your options through our site.
Check this link out - edgeautosport.com/search-magic.html#query=all&filter_year-make-model.filter=2016%5EHonda%5ECivic%5E1.5T%20non%20Si&filter_category-breadcrumbs.filter=Exhaust%5ECat%20Back&items_per_page=48&sort_method=_score/desc&page=1
would you recommend the Hks or Magnaflow for a mild exhaust with a offroad downpipe?
The Magnaflow is a more mild setup, but still sounds great. I hope our videos help you decide! Make sure watch our first civic exhaust video if you haven't already: czcams.com/video/rDOj0TLwmvM/video.html
@@EdgeAutosport what would you say the magnaflow is the mildest out of all the exhaust you guys tested?
were these exhausts paired with a stock dp/fp?
no, they are AFE Power
Is it possible to put the catback exhaust on a coupe 2.0L that is non 1.5T?
You can put an exhaust on a 2.0 NA Model, but not these exhausts. These are 1.5T ONLY
cant decide on whether I should get the Full Race or Magnaflow or even HKS but I’m personally leaning more towards the Full Race exhaust but… which is louder?
You ever make your decision?
Did Full Race ever get back to you about the lack of fitment and if they did what did they say? Thanks for all you do!!!
We finally got around to it, and made a video follow-up: czcams.com/video/Zoip46qCnXQ/video.html
@@EdgeAutosport Thanks for getting back to me!!
Bro.. what blow off valve are you using?
It's the stock BOV with a Torque Solution Atmosphere Adapter
Does the Full race fit a 2017 Honda Civic hatchback sport?
Coupe and Sedan fitment only, sorry!
Try the skunk2
May I ask where/how you guys did the orange door handle in the interior? It looks so nice to me lmao
So that is some scrap from the vinyl wrap on the exterior - we just repurposed it for some matching interior accents!
@@EdgeAutosport ooooh lmaoo that's funny, it looks great! Perfect use for extra vinyl 😁

@@EdgeAutosport aside from the valve do you need to replace anything else or is it that simple ?
Ark FTW and invidia as a back up
He had a videos before that I had ARK 1st Invidia 2nd and the Greddy SP Supreme 3rd
Any update on full race exhaust?? I really love how it sounds!
I have the same one and mine came out straight. I have a video on it on my channel if you wanna see. Definitely sounds the best for our cars
@@TdaKid I've watched your vid several times already and I just can't see where things went wrong for edge. I did notice your hangers went in deeper then there's and they didn't force it like you did. They just slide on and stopped when it it wider section. You seem to have force it over that on both ends and the hangers kind of hang at an angle instead of straight on. I think if they did that, it would work. It also could be off somewhere else, causing the muffler at the end to take the brunt of the issue. Edge did mention they used different hangers after the muffler. I wonder if that is the issue. Also in your vid you put the hangers on first before putting the muffler on. I wonder how much time they spent adjusting the piping all together and tried to take it off and put the pipping of in a different order?
It was actually less about the midpipe and more about the muffler mounts. The muffler mounting rods were physically wider than the hangers, considerably so. There was really no way it could work, not right now without modifying the mufflers. We will be sure to do a follow-up video if we get good info back!
@@TdaKid thanks man I’ll check it out!
@@EdgeAutosport okay thank you! I’ll wait for that update before getting the exhaust!
Do these exhaust fit the 10th hatchback sport? And the exhaust from the last video?
These are coupe-specific exhausts, so look for the hatchback fitment: edgeautosport.com/ark-performance-dt-s-catback-exhaust-burnt-tip-honda-civic-hatchback-sport-2016-2018/ not many differences but important to know when ordering
@@EdgeAutosport also do you guys suggest using a blow off valve or just upgrading the intake? I’ve heard people having problems with putting aftermarket blow off valves on 10th gen civics.
@@oxyeekithebeatgod2501 Both? haha we've never had any issues, and we dyno our car all the time! If you want maximum volume from shifts, a metal intake and BOV is the ticket.

Can someone give me a ballpark estimate on how much it would cost to have one of these exhausts installed??? Much appreciated
I ordered the FullRace Exhaust for my 2020 Honda Civic Si Coupe and never heard of the fitment issue till this video. It'll be here in a few days. I saw Tony Castillo's Vid and he didn't have this issue. Did you guys figure it out? Im worried now I'll have this issue. I find it hard to believe a company like FullRace would goof so bad on something like this. Would like to know before installing it. Thanks.
Hopefully your fitment is good. I haven’t had any issues on mine. Over a year with it and no issues on the hangers.
@@TdaKid Me too. It arrives in few days and I'll be having installed Thursday. Hope all goes well. I emailed FullRace immediately asking about this. Perhaps it is the order the pieces were installed or some piping was mid aligned. I hope edge replies back. I'll let you know hoe things go.
We did not get to the bottom of it yet, but if you are having it installed at an exhaust shop, they can totally make the modifications to ensure it works - not the end of the world, thankfully. We will do a follow-up video or something to clarify how it all shakes out.
@@EdgeAutosport Sounds good. Looking forward to the follow up. Crossing my fingers everything goes good in my end. Let you know how it goes. Should be here tommarow and I'll be having it installed Thursday.

Hey all! Does anyone know of a decent aftermarket exhaust that will fit a 2019 Civic hatchback LX? I know, I should've got the Sport, but I was in a hurry to get a vehicle and the LX was the best I could do at the time. Thanks for any suggestions.
any of the aftermarket exhausts can be easily modified for your car. Usually you just need to cut the rods on the mufflers and change them a little for your hangars and reattach with TIG welding. But where does your exhaust exit?
@@jamesmedina2062 I have a 2019 civic hatchback LX. So It's a dual exhaust. The problem I guess is that it has a spare tire in the back making it hard to find any aftermarket exhaust kits.
@@arnie413 My car has a spare tire too. Its just SI has no spare and big mufflers. Plenty of exhausts will fit nicely. Are your exits in the rear bumper in center or corners?
@@jamesmedina2062 It has the split exhaust.. One pipe comes out on each corner corner of a bumper. I have only seen one aftermarket exhaust with the split exhaust setup. It was a magniflow I think.
@@arnie413 ok. Magnaflow is not great but it is ok. I was just telling this guy that you can take many systems and cut and modify them pretty easily. You need to find cars with corner exhausts. Check out ECS Tuning and search Milltek and Supersprint especially the VW GTI exhausts. I use a 4 inch cut off angle grinder and make clean cuts and have my friend tack weld for fitment and then I check it on the car. Its fun. After tack and check then your guy Tig welds completely. But for flow the stock 2 inch pipes need increase to 60mm, 2 1/2, or 70mm to at least the front pipe and front pipe could use replaced but I have not done mine yet. Performance improves significantly over stock EX, LX, and Sport exhausts. 3000RPM-6000RPM breaths freer.
Is this legal for street use?
Its always best to check with local laws and ordinances, but yes, cat-backs are generally perfectly legal
Do any of these fit the 2.0 non turbo 10th gen ?😅
Negative, these are for the turbo motors
@@EdgeAutosport would an exhaust shop be able to fit them to a 2.0 non turbo? Or would it affect sound
Heyy i have a civic sport sedan 2019, will an SI exhaust fit mine?
you are close to being able to fit the SI but your hangar location points are different and would require modification possibly mods to the car because the SI exhaust is so wide. I have 50% of SI on my Sport Hatch but I made my own rear section. Despite the cavernous internal volume and great sound of the SI mufflers its much harder to fit than any aftermarket kit with smaller cans.
@@jamesmedina2062 what do you mean by 'own rear section'?
@@francisdelizo3420 yea good question. So I used the SI exhaust pipe in areas towards the front and after it goes underneath the suspension subframe, it is all a combination of a Supersprint 60mm system combined with 60mm pipe bends. Its Tig welded stainless steel. My favorite exhausts are from Milltek, Supersprint, and Remus but since they don't make stuff for most Civics I adapted their Audi system to my car and works great.
@@francisdelizo3420 Look up the Milltek system for Mini Cooper with dual mufflers. Its about 400-500 bucks from ECS Tuning and you can just shorten two pipes and use it in our Civics. Will give great sound. But for Tig welding got to find a decent welder in your area. Mine does HVAC work. He'a not even that good but he was cheap.
@@jamesmedina2062 appreciate the information and help man, God bless ya. I'll look into it and hopefully get done during summer.
