Thanks mate I really appreciate that! Going to be a bit of a challenge but I’m excited about it. How did you hear about it?
@@adventurefishinguk you will do a good job man i'm sure , i think i saw it on your girlfriends instagram or something , god bless you and your new family
@@ZachRussell.W thanks mate, yeah that’ll be it! I appreciate the message
Still lovin' the content George, don't know about eating the lure but that clear water with a wee dram looked perfect, thanks for posting mate keep 'em coming.
Thanks mate really glad you’re liking the videos! Yeah was a gorgeous little spot I’ll definitely be back
Those young trout are quite lovely to be sure. This was a fun little trip!
Thank you! They are stunning, I don’t think they get much bigger in there to be honest. Maybe one day a big one will crop up!
Looks a cracking little spot that does buddy !!!!! Looks untouched and that waters gin clear !! Them little rods are awesome !!! Thursday evening I eventually tried mine out !! Had 3 lovely chub to around 3lb and a couple of nice perch and lost a massive pike !! All in fast flowing water too under the willows ….. nice forgiving action and never thought I would love a telescopic rod as much as I do !!! Thanks for that George !!! Cracking video as always … all the best to ya 👍🏽😀🎣
Thanks mate glad you liked the video! Yeah fishing with the fish rig 180 is so fun, even the small fish put up a great fight and it can still handle the big ones.
Nice one mate love finding little trout streams and catching fish in them here in Devon we have some gorgeous streams on Dartmoor
Thanks mate! I've never been to Dartmoor, if I was in Devon I think I'd be fishing the sea more than the streams!
Great video mate! As always!
Thanks mate!
I love your videos mate keep it up you got me exploring allover now
Thanks mate, that's great to hear!
Love fishing little streams
Good video
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video
Enjoyed this 👍🏻
Thanks mate!
Cracking video George mate
Thanks man I appreciate that!
Used to fish Cock Beck that runs through the Towton battlefield (as a kid). Tiny little stream but held some fantastic chub and trout. Never write a water off because of its size!
Couldn't agree more, often the best fish are found in the unlikeliest of places!
Such beautiful little fish. I once caught a 1 1/2 trout in 3ins of water in Scotland. You never know what is in these shallow waters.
That’s mate! Surprising to see what can come out of even the tiniest little streams isn’t it 🎣
Good to see you named it a stream, and not a creek!
Was a toss up between stream and beck, I believe the latter is more accurate! Maybe not know by as many people though
@@adventurefishinguk Love the becks. Use both.
@@adventurefishingukbrook?
They really are pretty. I've not caught many. Same with the various species of Wrasse. They're beautiful
They are! Hit the nail on the head with that, I'd say brown trout are the most beautiful freshwater fish, and wrasse for saltwater!
Get some waders on mate there is alot more access then, it opens up many more swims walking through the water
Yeah I definitely should!
That trout had awesome patterns
Thanks mate, they always do!
Hi I have just gone back to angling after a break of 7 years
I purchased a rigged and ready travel rod and a shimano reel
I've just moved to Dorset and got permit to fish The Stour I've not done any spinning before so this season will be very interesting
Have you managed to get out fishing yet? I’m sure you’ll love your rigged and ready rod!
Hi there
Yesterday tried 3 swims targeting barbel that were not there lol but previously I managed a rainbow and small brownie
Awesome video man! You have just earned yourself a new subscriber, I never knew fishing small brooks was allowed or do you need a special permit? I am new to fishing
Thanks mate I really appreciate you subscribing! You need a standard EA rod license for freshwater fishing, and the rules of each river varies place by place. Some are free some are not!
not bad for a hour fishing ..maybe next time get the waders on ... cheers for the discount code .....tight lines and have fun
No problem hope you enjoy your rod if you've picked one up. Thanks for the comment!
You should have had the crocs on bro ……in sport mode ……. Tight lines geeez ✌🏻
Had them in the boot now you mention it 💔 would’ve been able to cast right up in them haha. Hope you enjoyed the video!
George you should get yourself some waders you can't beat them for little streams like this and knee deep water great video George,Dellboy
I know I’ve been told countless times to get some I really should 😂 the idea of it doesn’t really appeal to me all that much. Might invest in a nice pair of river shoes I don’t mind getting a bit wet haha
@@adventurefishinguk George i was the same but It's not until you try them you can get to places you can't wearing shoes your feet and legs get very cold even in the summer if you get a decent set of waders you won't regret it guaranteed George i reach places that are impossible to reach without waders matethere a game changer,Dellboy
I’ll look into picking some up I think, any brand recommendations?
I could be tempted to eat that bait too 😂
😂
I mate love the content what rod and reel are you using in this video lt looks perfect sir small rivers and streams!
Brooks
do you think a medium spinning rod (shakespeare beta 20-80g) would be good for brown trout? i would fish a small mepps behind a bubble float with a long 5lb leader
That's way too heavy of a rod mate! You wouldn't need a bubble float if you're using a spinner, only for flies
@@adventurefishinguk well i mean the average mepps is about 2 gram, and people catch trout on a stick hook and line. would having a rod too heavy for the job affect its fish catching ablilities?
@hesalovelybuoy5944 a rod of that size would make casting small lures accurately more difficult than a lighter setup.
@@CleddauFly yeha i mean ive just ordered an UL rod so doesnt matter.
Don't be fooled y shallow looking shady water!! That's where the big old perch n pike lie chillin, waitin for a lure like yours to come by!! Water craft mate. That deeper than 2ft. Big perch, trout, chub what ever down there👍
Very small stream this though there's only trout minnows and maybe more micro species in there. I'm sure downstream there are some bigger fish though for sure!
Greetings from Casablanca Morocco. I am coming to Angelsey for a week just for fishing, anywhere that you could recommend for BASS PLEASE?
Hi! I'm sorry, i haven't caught any bass on Anglesey so i wouldn't be able to give you any good advice! Rhoscolyn and penmon are good for pollock and wrasse though 👍
👍
Thanks for watching!
Is this the Caldew in cumbria???
No mate 👍
Derwent??? Lovely country
Just a random small beck in the middle of nowhere!
Where did you get landing net ?
Rigged and ready 👍 you can get 10% off on their website with code AFUK10 if you’re interested!
What weight line do you use?
8lb maxima chameleon here mate
George, loving your videos 👍 (fairly new subscribers/ noobie ul fisher!) Do you seek permission to fish these streams or just risk it and fish anyway!? Kind regards from deepest Dorset.
Thanks Clive I appreciate that! I research the streams first online. If I can't find anything about it and there aren't any private land signs I just get fishing! Wouldn't do it if it was in a farmers field for example but somewhere roadside like that im happy to just get cracking and if I get told to move just apologise and move on!
Thanks George, much appreciated, will get googling 😂👍
Where do you go to fishing?
All over the north west mostly!
i know that spot immma take my spinner tomoz
Good luck mate, might be tough at the moment with us having hardly any rain!
@@adventurefishinguk got a good 30cm trout
Do you need a local book to fish places like this? Only ever fished ponds years ago but I have just bought a spinner set up
Very much depends place by place mate! Do your research on a particular spot, if you can't find anything about it, there's no private fishing signs and its on public land I'd say you're safe to get fishing and if anyone says anything can always just apologise and move on!
@@adventurefishinguk Nice one brother, gonna go to local angling shop and see. Keep it up man decent vids
@@jakepavlo91 Thanks mate glad you like them!
How do you get permission to fish on these little streams ?
Mostly from the landowner mate, but if its in a public place like next to a road or footpath, and there's no signs you're usually okay to have a fish. Providing there's nothing about the stream and fishing rights online that is!
@@adventurefishinguk thanks very much for the swift reply !
He George, can I ask when you search on Google maps and find somewhere interesting, how to you find out if you can fish there thanks, great video as always 💪
It depends mate! I start with a thorough Google search and if nothing I usually go for a look around (if it’s not private property) by roads, footpaths etc. if still nothing and no signs I’ll just crack on and have a fish until told otherwise! Just make sure you aren’t trespassing 👍
Fly rod would be better.
Might've been, i'm not great with a fly rod in my hand though unfortunately
