Hey, have you ever watched "primos" (cousins) ? It's a Brazilian LGBT film. It's a 2019 film. But I don't know if it has subtitles in English ;p I wanted you to watch, if you want :)
I don't really like this film, and certain specific aspects bother me, such as showing children's bodies in an objectifying way (you can express that they are suffering this in the story without having to objectify them on screen for the audience) or the character in prison being flatly portrayed as "the nice guy", while in reality he's abusing the girl doubly, by prostituting her and by the mere fact that she is a minor and he is a mature man. Despite that, I found the film very sad and hard to watch because of its theme. By the way, I like that you do not naturalize prostitution as a "regular job" (as is in vogue in certain circles), and treat it as something that victimizes these girls, as it is. --- Take a look at the comment I left on "O que é isso, companheiro? / Four days in September" with a short list of Brazilian films. Maybe some might interest you.
