That's a great stretch of river. Float that piece occasionally...as nice as anything in the state. Nice video!
great video👍🏻👍🏻
Inspiring. Thanks
Great video. Planning a trip out there and can't wait. Subbed.
Great vid bro
Enjoyed watching. Planning a trip there in October sometime. You inspired me!
I'm pretty sure I camped in that same spot a few years ago. I called it "The Grotto" Firewood was slim pickings but man was it a great spot. What a great time of year to be up there! Looks like a lot of people would agree.
I live up in Petoskey, and as a pastie snob I will tell you that the bomb pasties are made in Marquette at a place called Jean Kay's. My brother lives there so any time I go visit his family, we load up on those bad boys! Nice trip vid, I love hiking and canoeing the Manistee but it def gets busy on the weekends!
I believe the fish you caught were actually brown trout
Awesome video and information, great info into it's depth! Very well explained! Going there with my 8 year old son in July! Any pointers/ideas!?
john levenski I would definitely leave more time for fishing if I went back. Have fun!
I enjoyed your video. Manistee River area is on my bucket list for primitive camping this year, so watching this was very informative. Did you find a pastie place for lunch?
Mark Hosbach Mr Foisies pasties in Cadillac on the drive out. Good eats!
Just went out this last weekend same place -day hike - what kind of fishing pole do you have. Thanks for the video
I have a bunch but I just took a little ugly stix out on this hike since it’s small and I was trying to cram the trip in to that smallish backpack. How was the trip? Went back to the midwest for a short visit this past week and forgot how unbearably humid it gets, lol
@@Wanderlust073 Thanks -- Trip was short, I am very out of shape; yes it was hot and humid but that's the charm of Midwest. When you get a few hours away from the Chicago it is amazing how beautiful it gets.
I have camped at 7b 2 times and have gone back to the trail just to go to that site... the hill is not that hard to get down once you get started its jest getting up is the problem.
How do those Ribz packs work?? I watched your Isle Royale packing video and meant to ask if the Ribz gear is any good, not just for camera stuff, but food, gear, pistol type of set up?? Thanks man! I solo hiked the length of Isle Royale last fall, good times!!
Derek Neumann They're pretty good but get really hot and made me sweat a lot. Then again that trip was like a hike through satan's humid armpit so....
You could definitely use them for everything you mentioned though. Pistol for sure, some food/snacks.
Hey! Are you from Michigan? It would be awesome to do a dual CZcams video overnighter, let me know if this is something you would be interested in?! (I don’t know how to dm on CZcams but my Instagram in @alex.outdoors). Hope to hear back from you!
Alex Outdoors Hi there. No, I used to live in IL but have since moved to Colorado. Thanks for subscribing!
Wanderlust073 yes same to you thank you, I’m in Illinois now, I love Michigan. Cool channel
Did you see the dog man?
You have as much chance of seeing that as you do seeing "god", neither is real, except in your mind....
Michigan is awsome. Thanks for the vidieo. And that river you fished was beutiful.
