- Norwegian tourist road number 55, through the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe - Sognefjellet (Sognefjellsvegen). The highest point of the road is 1434 meters above sea level.
And although the summer here is very short, and in the shade, the snow does not melt at all. The road through Sognefjellet attracts tourists from all countries with its brightness and variety.
In clear weather, you can admire green, flowering meadows, blue lakes, and cotton grass (Erióphorum vaginatum) flowers swaying in the wind.
The picturesque Sognefjellet track is located on the territory of the Jotunheimen mountain range, which is often called the "Roof of Norway".
Throughout the road, 108 kilometers long, here and there, from the tops of the mountains, severe glaciers look at tourists from under which blue rivers flow.
The Sognefjellet road is closed for the winter, but in 2022, at the end of May, we visited it immediately after opening. And they caught very impressive snowdrifts along the road in their lenses, some reached three heights of our car. This video is available at this link:

Некрасивые мы и без вас увидим ...😂 Всегда задумывался, почему ледники решили именно в наше время сползти вниз? Почему они до этого так "терпели"?

Привет Саша!👋 Да уж, электро "мустанг" и горы это отдельная статья нервов и удовольствия одновременно едешь вверх и переживаешь что за 15-20 км можно потратить все 50 а то и больше...😱🤯 А вот когда добираешься до вершины, то на спуске уже приходит азарт - сколько же зарядится😂😂😂

Гранитный квадратный тоннель создан специально для туристов, чтобы из машин погулять выходили, он их приманивает😂😂😂
Снега в наших краях не наблюдается пока... Поэтому ездили за рождественским духом в Данию на выходных, сегодня вечером поделимся🇩🇰🎄✨

Outstanding video, very high quality, well composed and nice to film with different equipment. You mention that you traveled in a caravan, but some parts seem to be footage from a white Tesla!
Hence my question - what about charging facilities on these types of remote roads?
I know that Norway has an extremely well-developed charging network, but this is still a bit far from civilisation...
I plan to do this trip next year and also the Lysevegen to Lysebotn and maybe my own EV car or maybe a rental car.
My next question - do you have to apply for permission to film from drones in these areas?
Once again - an awesome work with this movie - I really enjoyed and especially the drone parts (I have a Mavic Air myself)
What tool did you use when filming from the Tesla when you see the car from above and from the front...

Yes, most of our traveling across Norway and Nordic countries we do with the caravan towed by Audi, as Tesla doesn't have "original" coupling. We had a chance to spend a day on Sognefjellet driving there and back.
In terms of EV charging, there are plenty of options for such a remote location. There are charging stations in Lom and in Gaupne lying on both sides of these scenic roads and even on the Sognefjellet itself near Hotel/Kafe at Bøverdalen. For Tesla owners, there is a Supercharger in Bismo near Lom and Skei on the other side.
So, plenty of options, and passing the road actually takes the same charge in KM's as its length.
As to the camera for filming outside the car, we use GoPro and Insta360 depending on the situation. Using a drone doesn't require permission unless you stay outside national parks. The road over Sognefjellet is between two parks with plenty of places to here and there.

55 дорога как первая любовь - навсегда! Отсюда началось наше знакомство с Норвегией: сначала в Шульдене, а потом в Лустере. Незабываемые воспоминания! Как же хочется еще раз подышать тем воздухом, свернуть у Turtagro на Tindevegen, увидеть отражение облаков в кристальной воде ледниковых озер и, чем черт не шутит, подняться-таки на Galdhopingen )
