If she wants to take ALL the credit for NJs success and concept then why didnt she start her own company from scratch, recruited and trained trainees and did whatever she wanted instead of joining a multi billion company and using the tag of "BTS's younger grp" to promote in the West and in Korea. Now she has a problem with illit, riize and tws doing y2k ( a concept which she doesnt own ) and illit being called "NJs younger grp". She is extremely ignorant in undermining Hybe's influence in promoting NJs.

Min hee jin is failing to address the allegations against her. She's placing blame on illit, Riize,TWS and is even saying Hitman Bang copied her when he debuted BTS. An audit is a big deal and Hybe stocks are now affected. Hybe would have not gone public with this information without significant evidence. And with the parents getting involved and picking sides if things get worse, the girls career will be affected

She has replied but her argument is that the issue was about NJ being plagiarised. I agree with everything you said except HYBE didn’t give this CEO too much freedom. She started with 2% stock in HYBE and it rose to 18% over time. She underhandedly stole information and gave it to potential investors. She stole behind HYBE’s back because they didn’t give her true power. MHJ committed financial crimes. She tried to do insider trading to make Ador shares collapse so she could buy them at a very low price and take over the label, of which she currently owns 18%. This is a crime. She contacted the girls' families presumably to get their support against Hybe (remember fiftyfifty?), and this is a breach of contract, since she is paid by Hybe. She is under audit now and auditors have seized documents from the offices. Obviously she was suspended, which is nothing compared to the prison that awaits her. Hybe accuses her of leaking private information about many Hybe artists and spreading malicious rumors to discredit them, and I believe the legal staff of Hybe is not making idle accusations. Finally, it is very suspicious that the girl who had been a trainee for NJ and then for Illit suddenly withdrew, because she may have been blackmailed by MHJ with some personal information.

in a corporate setting, min heejin is doing everything wrong. there are procedures and processes that you use to file a complaint or grievance. you don't plot to leave the company and bad mouth it in public. in the first place, you asked for a big company to invest in you. that big company has 80% ownership, and you and your directors only have 20%. the investor has every right to protect its investment, and is within its rights to request for an audit. if the audit shows that min heejin acted in bad faith, no major investor in their right mind would ever want to work with her in her future ventures. and from a legal standpoint, it looks like min heejin's claims on "plagiarism" won't stand in court. it's intended to drum up public opinion on her side. it also seems she's on a reckless course to burn bridges. typical course of action of someone who got caught doing something underhanded. knowing she'll lose in the boardroom and in court, she'd rather destroy everyone else. in which case, she just destroyed her career in the korean entertainment industry. who'd want to work with somebody like her?
In reality MHJ has not gone to court, and will not, because there is no copyright on the concepts. She may be doing this as a desperate move to reach an agreement with Hybe, but she is increasingly becoming the classic Korean "crazy bitch" who acts illogically. And there is also the real possibility that she will end up in jail.

I personally think that ILLIT having a similar concept to New Jeans doesn't really damage New Jeans that much, if at all. Now, Min Hee Jin's actions and her recent statement dragging ILLIT into the issue do more damage. I think she gives herself too much credit in the creativity and success of New Jeans. It's hard to say who's telling the truth. But She has a point in that the rebranding of NJ was her brainchild. We can also see how her handling if V's album was the best move showcase V and his music. Compared to HYBE she gave V a proper album that promoted his music and his style. At least she supported him based on V's explanation . So she does have certain rights to NJ and raising question about the other group being a bit too similar. However we don't have any facts except she said he said. And I wouldn't put so much trust in Bang. Whatever it is this could be external forces trying to take over HYBE .this is a nasty business. But if someone takes over HYBE they won't be able to get much out of BTS. It's not the same.

Also Tae’s album would have been great no matter who helped him make and promote it. I don’t think we can judge how HYBE would have handled it since they didn’t handle it and we’ll never know.

The fact he didn't work with HYBE much..very little came from HYBE suggests a few things. That she is good at her job, that he trusted her judgement on his career path and musical direction (of course V has control of his work from what he said during interviews on the album) and that he was satisfied with her in producing his solo album. Maybe be V doesn't rub people up the wrong way and doesn't control people....Anyway this is the corporate world. Music industry as a while and specifically in Korea is vicious. So wouldn't know the truth if it hit you. For me as long as V doesn't get caught up in this and ARMY doesn't throw V under the bus, go ahead and may the person /party in tge right win. We have seen enough of corruption everywhere including in Korea to know it's nasty. We the public can easily be misled by any of the parties. Not a part of the fandoms of both ggs, but both have already become popular 4th gen(+5th gen?) groups and it's a shame that this will be ruined just because of this mess between company higher ups. If anybody watched RUNext which was the debut program for ILLIT - there was nothing NewJeans in it at all. But, when they debuted it was all NewJeans. I think the fans of NewJeans has the right to be pissed off. If I were team NewJeans - I would be pissed off. For that 20 vs 80 ownership, it's on the contract that HYBE granted Min HeeJin the total autonomy of the management and freedom in raising artists. @@obriendenis3965 I think there's an error in believing subsidiaries operate the same as labels. Generally, subsidiaries operate independently of each other and tend to have little to no obligation of checking if they do smt that overlaps with another subsidiary (and Hybe has given no indication of being different in that regard).
Copying/plagiarism is its own issue outside of that tho, but it's not a legal issue when concepts are copied.

The prob is, if mhj is kicked out she can take newjeans with her since the contract of the group is with ador. She will just have find super rich investor/s that will pay for them for the legal damages about to happened. Thats why they have been seeking outside consultation. If it doesnt work, the plan is for newjeans to turn their back to hybe using "unfair treatment" dialogue (based on the doc found by hybe on ador). That is also why mhj is super close to the parents.
If new jeans leave hybe to follow mhj, their careers will be over. Forget using their songs, forget using their group name. They will have a lot debt too. Hybe owns 80% of ador shares and she only haves 20%. Mhj is pretty much over cause nobody is going to trust her anymore.

She lost my respect at that point. I have never heard a note that illit has sung, so it's not about that. This CEO's battle is not with those young people and it's disgusting to use them in this way. I also feel for New Jeans. These are all young women just trying to make a career out of something they love. They all work extremely hard and rather than use them in a public battle, they (both the CEO and Hybe) should be protecting them. Bang PD hasn't really been good at raising a GG from the ground up since GLAM and all HYBE had been doing is throwing around money BTS made to other agencies with established idol groups. Even Le Sserafim has the benefit of two established members raised by iz*one. I can see why Min Hee Jin would feel pissed off when another sub label is cannibalizing her style for their brand when she was promised full ownership of her creativity. But if that is the case, it's certainly something that can be handled behind doors.
