  • We leave Bahia Las Animas behind and start t make our way to the historic oasis of San Ignacio. But first, we did to get through 120 miles of the Baja Divide Trail.
Along the way, we encounter the harsh conditions the Sonoran Desert promises. Running our of daylight, low on fuel and 2 jeeps in need of some TLC, we push further south into Baja California Sur.
As we leave our only fuel stop of the day, we find Joost negotiating with the locals.
In San Ignacio, we find time to relax, eat good food and explore this quaint little Mexican village.

Any security concerns? I imagine that with such a large crew you don't have any issues but I wonder for the solo adventurer?

Before I went on this trip, I had several security concerns. After this trip, they are minimal. I would not recommend traveling alone in rural Mexico or any of the border towns. I have 2 other video's about my breakdown 7 hours from the border and my trip back across.
