You clever sod, years ago I had coral draw. used it half a dozen times. Coz all I ever got was the outside; mind you I was young, dumb and drunk. Really liked this vid, I just maybe able to do this now and do pictures of my mam, dad and wife to put on their head stones. Clever you sod.
Mike, Sorry I'm late to the party. Just stumbled upon your post. Very helpful, novice woodworker looking to create some projects with engraved photos. I'm just trying to do some homework on what I actually need - i.e. Software, type of engraver, small CNC for my wood shop
Hey Mike! Where can I buy tape like this from? I am confused if this is tape similar to just plain old painters tape, or is this a special tape. Thank you!
Hi, thanks so much for this. I am following it right to the end perfectly and have transparency until the last instruction to go to Mode and convert to black and white, at that point I lose the transparency so when I engrave i get a light grey where the background was.... Any idea why?
Is ok if I ask you to kindly send me a finished picture of the glass engraving for one test I need to make with my machine. and also I would like to test the mask as the mask here in Brazil is not the same that maybe you have there. I thanks in advance
Good Morning, Mr. Clark, I am George from Brasil and Actually i have a question about the Merlyn Monroe Picture and also I would like to show one that i have done with Mr. Been. How can I speak with you
Hi Chris The issue would be the taper if there is one. This would distort the image as the diameter would change. Might be better to use wet news paper
can you give me link to what transer mask your using, sorry noob k40 , subscribed and liked ty, also do you use the same power & speed settings w mask vs without?
Try searching amazon for application tape. You want the paper kind. I’d try this one from amazon. The video said he uses a medium tack like this one. www.amazon.com/Vinyl-Ease-Transfer-Silhouette-Adhesive/dp/B07DF7TDSF/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=application+tape&qid=1603409779&sr=8-5
When I try to save my edited image with Coreldraw X8 it puts a white back on the photo. I have been working with tech support for over a week with no results. Very poor tech support.
I had the same thing going on, but with the pictures as the Bitmap, I traced it and that will remove the background. That said, it will prevent you from adding the Stucki or Jarvis setting.
Hey Mike... long time, no talk to. ; ) Did you ever get my Pipe Sizer files and look them over? Also, I'm having some issues engraving pint glasses. I'm still getting some flaking on the final engrave when I wash off the shards. Can you create a video tutorial on engraving pint glasses? Hope you're doing well... thanks Mike...
hello Sir i was watching your photo laser engraving Corel Draw 12 and i did same process in my computer corel draw 12 on Acrylic sheet but result coming very poor not clean what to do can you please reply me would so help full ..im very disappointed myself ....please reply me Thanks ...
I'm preparing my photo the same way as you show, but it's still engraving small lines behind the actual picture, in the background...why is this?? Can anybody help me with this?
Mask for photo-transfer particularly well-presented and explained. It's a somewhat esoteric subject but your communication skill remedied that. Your tutorial on specific applications of Corel Suite for image processing is impressive. We don't get that down here ;^) I'd love to get a tour of your operation and discuss with you. You can find me by being clever with my name and using geographic feature of boulder and the rocky mountain state (as they say here) although in truth it's only "a" rocky mountain state. Not sure how to convey this to you more privately but you have an epidermal edema that could be indicative of a more serious endocrine disorder I hope you can get it looked at.
Good Morning, Mike I havemy machine CO2 80w and would you be so kind to please send me this picture for me to make a test? I do not understand much of Corel , and I will send you the final result so you can give me your opinion and if I need to do something else but Could you be so kind to send me this picture ready for engrave ? If you want I can send the image back. I would like to see how my machine will behave with this kind of image.

Wow! What a great instruction video. Thanks for taking the time
Love you video, very informative. Can I ask what kind of laser do you use? I would love to have one for myself.
You clever sod, years ago I had coral draw. used it half a dozen times.

Really liked this vid, I just maybe able to do this now and do pictures of my mam, dad and wife to put on their head stones.
Clever you sod.
Is blue masking tape too thick to use? I already have 6" rolls of it.
What setting should i save it as to open it up in Laserdraw please, as you never say on this video, thanks
Thanks for the great educational video. Would you venture to say, that masking wood while engraving would also help with clearer engravings of images?
Mike, Sorry I'm late to the party. Just stumbled upon your post. Very helpful, novice woodworker looking to create some projects with engraved photos. I'm just trying to do some homework on what I actually need - i.e. Software, type of engraver, small CNC for my wood shop
Really well explained, thank you.
What power and speed settings did you use for this picture?
Thank you so much for your video it helped me a lot. What speed and power should i give so that i can get the best results...
Hey Mike! Where can I buy tape like this from? I am confused if this is tape similar to just plain old painters tape, or is this a special tape. Thank you!
Hi Mike, I got the same issue as Dave Bakke. I think a specific video would help more of us. Thanks in advance. Pav

So do you use fibre or CO2 to engrave on glass?
What brand mask (Transfer Tape) do you use? I am new to this, and I want to make sure what I get is water soluble. Thank you!
thank you for this, my photo turned out brilliant, could you maybe write the steps down?
Great video, what is your website address?
Thanks for making this video.
I love Coreldraw and new technique. I also love Bryan Clarke's glass art ( a relative?)
no :-)
Very nice.

I'm trying to add a faint logo behind text on anodized aluminum. Can I use this method or should I use halftone?
Hi Daniel my suggestion would be to use the halftone. You aways get a better image when doing photos on anodized aluminum with a halftone
I wonder if you could use this on a Glencairn glass with the rounded flute shape would be difficult to apply the mask.
Hi Chris The issue would be the taper if there is one. This would distort the image as the diameter would change. Might be better to use wet news paper
Might be a daft question Mike but will this Process work with a K40 LASER thanks.
K40 owner myself. I have read to run at full power when doing glass.
What is the cheapest glass engraving machine out there?
10: 25 So is it vinyl or paper mask? Vinyl is dangerous when burned isnt it ?:-O
Great information Mike. Thank you. Where do you get your transfer tape/paper from?
Felisha Wild sorry for the delay www.laserbits.com/sus-016-paper-mask-medium-tack-12-in-100-yds.html
Thank you so much Mike.
Hey Mike where could I get a machine like yours or what should I look up in order to get a good one? Thanks!
Hi Rigo. Where are u located

Is tape used to engrave pictures into wood, acrylic too??
Your awesome having trouble finding the transfer tape.

At about the 20 min mark you change the radius. Radius of what, and why change it?

@@maker136 Save as a png file and it shouldn't have the white around photo.

What machine and laser intensity you use 5mw? Lower or higher?
Hi George. I am using a 60 watt laser. 5mw will probably not provide enough power.
@@fmeclarke So I'm positive, I wont even get close with my 1500mw. Do you have a preferred brand for consumers?
im in the UNITED States and trying to find this the website isnt working for me I need this paper.
Please provide a link to the transfer tape/mask.
