Now that was great. I love to recycle instead of spending money that I don't need to. And the sounds of kids having fun in the background took me back decades. All around awesome video! 👍👍👍
I have that same axe. Had it for almost 20 years now. It’s an excellent piece of kit. Used it for nine winters living in the mountains of Western North Carolina, cutting up trees for the wood stove. We would spend the summer felling dead trees and all the tops that fell off the winter before. I was living in a barn and believe me, I used a lot of wood in that stove. It never let me down and it’s still going strong. It stays in the back of my Jeep. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve come across a tree that fell over the road, cars backed up, and some guy trying to start his chainsaw. 😆
If it suits you, and does the job, then it suits me, I'm the type person that enjoys seeing people try, if you try you succeed, failure is in not trying at all.
G Bro , You are welcome. Knife sheaths are much easier. Just select the correct size pipe for the knife, heat and smash and they work great. I have made a bunch of those. Thanks for watching.
@@ONThree Hey, I keep our extremely sharp log splinter in our garage and every time when the grandkids are in the garage I get very nervous. I do wrap it with just a towel and rope but I do worry. That thing is so sharp, if I fell into that thing it would lay me open. With the grandkids running around, I don't even want to think what could happen. I just wanted to let you know after watching your video I found a good thick plastic bucket and used my heat gun and made a good sheath. I even put a padlock around the handle to the frame so now it's very safe. It doesn't look the best but it works, maybe 2.0 in the future. Anyway I just wanted to say THANK YOU. Please keep the videos coming. Greg from northern Indiana. PS. I live about 20 miles from Notre Dame and have been a fan forever. ND plays Georgia this weekend soooo I have to say "GO IRISH" but I think Georgia will win by 14.
I need a sheath for my Kukri. I'm going to try this. My camo job will be much tacti-cool-er than yours tho.... just saying. 🤓 "Sounds of kids being molested by a bear in the distance"..... Dad.... "I have 5 more seconds"....

Awesome idea. Buying a sheath for my fiskars would probably cost as much as the axe. I'm going to try making one of those for myself!
David Kurle ,
If I can do it, anybody can. Hope it turns out even more tacticool than mine.
Hey thanks again for the link. I enjoyed this. Fatherhood and good ole American Ingenuity make the world click.

They are hard to beat! Thanks for watching!
Good stuff man !
😂😂😂. The natural sound of the "Wild"! LOL
Thank you for sharing.
10-4 on that sheath. I fell carrying a machete once, it was ugly. Gotta love those kids. And yea, you'll learn those kid sounds, great vid man.
Thanks for the awesome idea!

The best channel
Even if that axe were to break I'm sure you could still use it. I'm sure it still has an eye.
Wow, I didn't know you could do that to PVC. Thank you.

G Bro ,
That is great! Glad to have inspired your project.
Go Dawgs!
@@ONThree Lol
I have the same ax. They may not be traditional, but they can take a beating. As always, nice video.
Yes, I have 4 children 10 & under… very similar sounds coming from them in my neck of the woods
this is pretty good....I made a hatchet sheath out of bent cardboard and gorilla tape...works okay..but I prefer the harder material of pvc.
I just found your channel and also love the repurpose/reuse rather than spend money to get a name brand.
You forgot about the I am so going to get you in trouble cry.
Aren’t kids great? 👍 great stuff.

Single dad is not bad. I raised 3+ my stepdaughter. Alone for eight years.
That takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
@@ONThree it wasn’t easy. But it wasn’t bad. I’m just from a different time.
