Jeff and I were the same age... I remember skating the Embarcadero as I did almost everyday, and Grosso showed up... I was cool meeting him and watching him skate. Great skater and nice guy. Will be missed.

Been wearing Vans for 45 years, I remember buying them at a house turned retail store in Torrance in the 70s I want to say around $16 a pair. Now I live in Tokyo and it’s not uncommon to pay close to $100 a pair. Crazy.
Same here in US. 50 60 for normal styles and above for designs with prints.
Kind of disappointed about the general durability of Vans in 2022. I wear them when they're cheap, but it's hard to rep them lately.
I never bought or wore anything Vans. Element on the other hand man do I have an extensive collection. I love this guy though, would be a top bloke to hang with.
