Ever thought about how non-benevolent the tank manufacturers in the WTGU (War Thunder Game Universe) are? Like, I always thought that spare parts, the basic gunnery systems (LRF) and a - for the time - normal round (ex. APFSDS at top tier) should come with a stock tank… But no, you have to prove your worth by effectively using the vehicle for quite some time until you can BUY the stuff from them. I understand, that stuff like faster turret traverse, a better engine - and maybe even the APFSDS - are upgrades, but the other things I mentioned should be stock.
TL; DR: War Thunder tank manufacturers are like apple, you get the naked product with all the important things sold seperately

The pain of watching someone not hit FPE because they are worried about interrupting their reload on an *autoloaded* tank. Also, 3OOF-26 is great - surprised you used the HEAT more.
I catch myself doing that some times when I hop in my BVM, it's a long standing force of habit from grinding Sweden and America to 11.7.

How come my rounds disappear once entering a tank, how does a fucking round hit a 90 degree angle and go towards the carousel when in theory the round should've put a hole in my gunner and exit from the top of the tank? How the fuck does a crew member eat a depleted uranium round? Is that the new chobhams?

Had a perfect 90° shot on the side of a BVM today. Hit it with the top tier french apfsds...nonpen. wasnt even a volumetric bug, the ERA on the side just deleted my round completely. Two games later, 2 back to back lfp shots on a BVM net a fire and a dead driver, nothing else despite the round ground thru the ammo.
I get really sick of the BVM. An egregiously broken tank that Gaijin loves to turn a blind eye to.
It has around 580 pen, Relikt ERA on sides Russians made with 2 layers, it deflects 250mm of KE penetration. 250+250+10(or 20 which is a thickness of ERA blocks) and + 70 which is armor thickness for russian MBT sides, we get 580-590 as result

Same here - Leo A6, DM53, I shoot a guy right in the middle of front plate = no kill, not even a pen cuz "magic ERA", he one shoots me in the same place. I know GJ is russian, but damn, most 1on1 vs russian tanks is win for russian tank, even if i shoot first, he usually lives and one shoots me or 2 shoots me.

Honestly, purchasing lv1 apfsds with GE can prevent you from suffering from HEAT when grinding for parts and FPE. Playing a session in ground assault mode can also make your tank equipped with necessary repair kits.
any Arcade Assault mode gives miserably low amount of RP, sim is where it's at tbh but that requires even more skill and patience
@@ultimatechad8738 Normally a session in ground arcade can give you about 7k rp with premium account, which is roughly equivalent to the cost of parts and fpe for most modern tanks.
@@ultimatechad8738 yeah but arcade has its own merits, the matches are much faster so you can earn the same or more RP in the same time you do one round of sim (nevermind the waiting time) + you can see in arcade the enemy markers, so i can run & skeet around like a dude dodging child support in the hood until an IFV, AA or SPAA is close to me😂
