- Setting gear mesh is very simple, but there are a few key steps to help make sure it's set correctly. It's also extremely important to make sure your mesh doesn't move during a race.

That spark at 4:43 was cool.
Also thank you for these videos. Always cool to see everyone's own way of doing things.
I thought I was seeing stuff😂
Props leaving the snapping of the tip in your video.Just shows the pros still do it from time to time!Great information Adam I actually have struggled with this in the past.
Thanks 👍. :)
Great tips, this is the only way I have found that I get consistent mesh/results. I also agree with above comment that it was cool to see you break that tool, holy crap you are human after all🤘🏻🤣
That was brutal. Good to know even mip drivers aren’t unbreakable, I’ll be a little more careful with mine
Never thought of twisting the top to get a little bit of adjustment for pinion spur wear. Thanks for the tip!
That tip breaking off in the screw is gonna be fun to remove, mby the next video is on how to remove a stripped/broken tip screw
It might come out after running the car lol but then again it might not
Definition of greatness is “to inspire the people next to you.” When you inspire someone, they'll inspire someone else, and the cycle of greatness continues indefinitely…
Thank you DRAKE 🏎️💨 🤝
Thank you very much, it's greatly appreciated.
Hello great video information Adam
Great tips Adam. How do you mix your blue and Red thread lock together? I'll try that. That actually sounds like a very good compromise.
Nice video as always! But actually you said it in a blink of an eye how to set up the mesh pretty fast. Pull a small strip of paper trough the gears, it has to make a nice pattern but once the paper gets damaged, it's to tight....
That famous snap sound! Been there before 😂
Hi timmy
Hey mate I’ve got a meshing issue, I’ve checked the meshing and that’s all good but the main gear is showing signs of the engine/ clutch drive being too far forward. There is minimal movement in the clutch, I even forcefully moved it back in but it still seems like the whole engine needs to go rearward 2-3mm. Thoughts?
Ty for the tip
Totally unrelated mugen question….will mbx8r htd diffs fit into a 7r chassis? Im looking at replacing all three diffs. Thanks!
Have you tried orange it is designed as a half way point of red and blue, anti vibration of red, hand tool breakable
That stuff is great for full size cars. Never needed anything stronger than 243 for rc
Have you tried the orange loctite they are making now? I bought a bottle just to try it but haven't had the chance yet..
I have not, but I believe that is a 50/50 mix of blue and red which is what I use.
Exactly what I do👍🇮🇪
10:37 I legit gasped 😅
Is it bad if the clutch bell isn’t lined up center with spur gear ?
It doesn't need to be perfectly centered, but you want to make sure they're close to fully lined up.
Okay thanks. I’m trying a associated buggy with a tekno clutch on my engine and the clutch bell is lined up halfway on the spur gear. mesh and car rolling feels great just haven’t drove it yet
You broke that tool.....well poopoo😅😅😅
they're all jealous
:)
