"This is a miserable excuse for a ceremony! Where's the 21 gun salute?! Where's the flag-folding?!" - Sarge
I’ll be honest if weren’t for the RT shutdown Sarge probably do get the 21 gun salute and flag folding in Restoration
RIP Sarge and goodbye 🫡 😢
In all seriousness though, when they actually buried his body, wouldn't it just have fallen back into that massive cavern like in season 5?
@@nagger8216 seriously I can't stop thinking about it
@@nagger8216 yeah probably
@@nagger8216 its not the exact same spot so its probably fine
Sarge once said "Today is a great day to die"
Well, that day came.
You see, in their final moments, people show who they really are.
It just made this even MORE hurtful, saying he always believed in Grif😢
Despite Sarge wishing for Grif’s painful death every 12 minutes
@@YoungMrBlue Maybe he want to scare him to near death and make sure he could be better. To put more effort into himself and his life.
@@YoungMrBlue that said...he never once tried to make good on it. Hell he's only actually physically hurt grif a *very* small handful of times namely after grif majorly fucked up and never bad enough that grif didn't just immediately get back up anyways
@@shurikens68 someone doesn’t remember season 5, 10, 11, need I go on
Well boomstick’s dad is officially dead, never thought Id see the day
lol
I wonder how he will react once he hear the news
Well
Actually this might be one of Church's billions of simulations because of what he said back there.
There's still hope.
“Oh sure, you’ve got all your smart plans and your fancy technology and your advanced training, but in the end, what has that gotcha? Without a team you can count on and without your fellow soldier by your side, all that doesn’t really amount to squat, now does it? So instead of standing there bellyaching all day, just tell us, are you gonna keep playing it safe… Or do you wanna get a little reckless?”
-Sarge, Rank: Colonel Leader: Blood Gulch Outpost No.1
My favorite Red vs Blue character since the beginning. He was never the smartest or the strongest but he was the toughest and arguably the bravest. RIP Colonel Sarge 🚩🫡 Red Team for life
Sarge taught me to hate those dirty blues in real life(the democrats)
Super Colonel Sarge*
My fav too, I’ll get those dirty blues for you Sarge 🫡
@@garrettjackson1451Good one. Couldn't agree more.
@@garrettjackson1451 you got that right!
My blood ran cold when I saw the Energy Sword tips, but I broke when he admitted he always believed in Griff. Ever since I started watching RvB, I've quoted Sarge endlessly. This hurt, so fucking much.
Me too bro… me too… You’ll never be missed Sarge 🫡
Dude. The passing of the shotgun made me fucking cry like a baby. "I can't-" "Yes you can."
Edit: 100 people have liked my comment. One hundred and one people at least were touched by this scene. RIP Sarge. Coming back to edit this comment made me rewatch and cry all over again, God damnit.... Thank you Rooster Teeth
Me too man. Me too.
I... Could never ever imagínate that Sarge would have really die in the series because for me and everybody else he was the soul and spirit that makes Red vs Blue, Red vs Blue.
The actual Red of Red vs. Blue.
I always thought it would be caboose or grif who dies honestly, a sort of classic case of most weakest character making the biggest sacrifice sorta deal
@@joshuahill6994 How is Caboose the weakest? Sure, he's not smart, but he's strong enough to pick up Andy the Bomb.
I actually started to scream when I saw the tips of the energy sword going through sarge.
Dude, I was screaming when Sarge stopped running! "Get away from the door! Get away from he damn, blasted Door!" I saw it in my head before it actually happened. 😢 😭
Holy shit they actually killed off a main character for once.
Alpha Church: ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?
@@neoterumi4772 Epsilon: what’s you talkin about.
Church was always my fav and he died a lot DX the first church actually did die in season 6
Church (Alpha AND Epsilon, 2 seperate guys), Tex, multiple freelancers, The Meta and all the AI, General Doyle, Felix, and now Doc: am I a joke to you?
@@CDNBreadDogs very questionable on the Felix part since he was an antagonist unless your counting season 11? Which I don’t since it was an act.
Someone needs to call Boomstick. Tell him his father died the bravest and most fearless soldier that ever was! 😢
Caboose saluting probably hit the hardest. He’s grown so much since omega screwed him up.
Rip sarge 2003-2024
hey that's when i was born.... Wait...
@@AWSOMzombie wait.. Lets not be hasty.
What do you hate more?
When he decided to go back for Caboose I really started to think he's gonna die and even more when Meta activated his sword
chekhovs sword?
You were the best of them, Sarge. He IS Red. Without him, there is no Red vs Blue. Godspeed, you magnificent shotgun loving man! (Shoots Grif in his honor)
(Also shoots Grif in his honor)
That one was for you, Sarge.
Don't forget the steam roller.
Sarge: Hello? Hello! Anybody out here?
Alpha: You bring your ten bucks this time, old man?
I honestly kept expecting him to show up like “surprise thought you’d seen the last of me!” But he never did 😢
And Sarge truly cared about Grif. I always knew he did!!!
I kept expecting him to come back tbh. Can't believe he's dead.
Also Grif saying Come with me to Simmons was crazy.
now Boomstick is truly dadless
I didn't even thought of that when he died. That just makes it even more sad!
at the beginning of restoration we see boomstick in one of church's simulations, so that connection is confirmed non canon
@@InitialPC It is canon in our hearts.
I like to imagine that on Chorus, Sarge would have a larger funeral where everyone on both sides honours him. Get him his 21 gun salute, flag folding, the whole ten miles. And that he and Doc are given special attention among the Reds and Blues for their sacrifice.
More than that, I like to imagine that Chorus becomes a home to the remaining Reds and Blues at one point or another if only because it has people there who understand and accept them for the goofballs that they are and can help them move forward, really start living instead of going from one adventure to another.
I had my problems with this season, but this isn't one of them. Like Grif said, it's perfect.
I remember you from the comments when each episode used to be on youtube
RIP Colonel Sarge
SUPER Colonel Sarge 🫡
Kinda feel like they did him dirty by not giving him a last stand.
I still think his moment where he went out of his way to help someone cause it was the right thing was enough
@@MKO-zq1dxIt was so backwards though, Sarge already proved that he's willing to do the right thing back in Revelation when he decided to go save Church and Tex just because Caboose was begging for help. He wouldn't have just left Caboose to die like that and then suddenly change his mind. It should've been Sarge sacrificing himself for everyone else to get out of there. I like the scene itself, but they way they got there is super sloppy and poorly written.
@@nagger8216 To be fair they likely had more planned but rooster teeth being shut down probably forced them to change plans.
@@nagger8216 according to something I remember someone saying they kinda just went for the first draft due to rooster teeth closing down. Not sure if it was true but could explain the issues
@@MKO-zq1dx Well, something is sure, this went from a season to a feature film with a considerable reduction in time comparated to last seasons, many of the things that happend screamed "Cut content" to me
“makes the 21 gun salute with the rest of the clone army and fold sarge flag as all clone troopers salute” may you rest in peace sarge “salutes”
After all this years after all these seasons after everything they went through he died hating blues and that’s who sarge is like he said the only thing he needed to do was “Stay red and die” -Sarge
Sarge will go down in history as one of the greatest soldiers in simulated military combat and science fiction to have ever existed. He lived and died a hero! I salute you Sarge. 🚩❤
This is one of the saddest moments in RVB and Sarge is one of the characters that make the RVB series have 18 seasons. His one liners are the best in the series.
I literally couldn't stop crying. I has to pause for half an hour so I could finish watching the movie
Well imma miss this journey as sarge was funny and i liked the one episode where he couldnt believe griff was the same rank as him.
the fact he died saving a blue is destroying me
He still hates those dirty Blues! But he's a soldier. He has a duty to get his men home, no matter who they are or what it takes. He died a hero. RIP Super Colonel Sarge. 🫡
i just can’t get over this. if his armour locked after his vitals hit a certain point he’s alive. worse yet they burred him in the same spot as last time.
his body is going to fall into the cave regardless if he’s still alive or not. considering donut survived months alone with a point blank shot i’m guessing sarge survived
Unfortunately, that's not the case. Restoration is the grand finale of Red vs Blue. It's finished.
It's over.
@@UltimaGuardianStatyx unless whoever buys the rights says otherwise
Sarge had finally had his funeral in the same canyon since the the beginning.

Me: Rest in Peace...Colonel Sarge...as a soldier, and as a man...I respect most...What you fought for...hmph, you are most son-of-a-bltch, of all Red Vs. Blue series...but once again, rest in peace, scumbag. 🙂
This would’ve been perfect if they all didn’t ditch caboose a few minutes earlier
Its to bad that they didn't have any aloe vera.
"Oh I fear the worst about Grif. I always make fun of him. I never even told him, he was my son"
"No way! The orange guy's your son?"
"Nah, I just wanted to screw with him one last time"
Goodbye Sarge for the wonderful memories 😔
🫡 Godspeed Sarge, a soldier to the end.
All he wanted was to die heroically in battle. Rest sarge. This season truly was a restoration. I will always be rewatching rvb when the itch hits me.
I miss you.
I thought it was a gag at first and he’d be fine. 😢
Does that mean Boomstick won't know about his dad?
If only he made that 1 joke form season 1 about being griffs dad 😢
The great words of Super Colonel Sarge
So church and tex came back, but at what cost..
Dang it who used the darn monkey paw.
The other simulations Epsilon ran had better results.
For what some fans understand when Simmons ask tô church if they are a simulation and he stops a litle time probably they really are he even say he coldnt do the sounds right caboose voice só technicaly depends of fans interpretation in my personal opinion y prefer think it was just another simulation not the real end because its sad because some characters dont have time on screen like Lopes and donut Who doesnt even apers in this season and seing the characters what we like just die and continue life separadely make my hearth break i cant see this likes the real final
@@leandroatomico3454 also in the trailer he literally says "lets do it one more time" implying the season is that one more time
@@leandroatomico3454 i agree 100%
@@InitialPCso this finale is entirely pointless
Yeah sarge’s death isn’t worth watching this bland season again
@@YoungMrBlue its a simulation therefore its not worth watching??
youre aware literally the entire franchise is fictional and generated right?
Probably would have taken away from the moment but I really wish instead of a last breath, they’d do the “herk ble-ag” for a call back

oh my god they killed sarge!
YOU BASTARDS
You bastards!
@@Frost_the_polarian_foxNice.
@@coachlombardi9657 really dude... really, you and @pensukatheknight ruin the moment 😓😒.
@kayniloyd6509 Nah, I feel like Sarge would like that response. Especially since he was killed by a dirty Blue!
He started out being considered one of the worst. He went on to help take down a corrupt organization ( freelancer) , became a Colonel of chorus, and died a true soldier. He was one of the most loved characters, and he will be missed
R.I.P Sarge you can rest now
They had a chance to get everyone back whole again “except doc despite him surviving Chorus” even church and tex could of been fully revived “nah just stomp on them ending it forever” then again caboose still has the Church response and sustained convo algorithmic message system lol
doc didnt survive chorus, his appearance in season 15-17 were simulations
@@InitialPC We know now “despite Zero existing at the end of Restoration??”
@@InitialPC and that reporter woman from the blues vs reds saga
As smart and fast Epsilon was with anyrhing, he could not of somehow created perfect simulations of people he never met.
@@zenpai5998 dylan andrews exist therefore doc is still alive? makes no fucking sense
as sad as this one, i did tear up, i cried hard for church and texs true ending.
Why isn’t Lopez there grieving over Sarge’s death. Sure Sarge was Lopez’s tormentor but still he was his creator/father. And what’s worse he didn’t involved himself in the final stand against the Meta.
I think he left after the 1st episode of the season
I literally only just realized that they didnt bring lopez with them
I remember you from the comments when each rvb episode was on youtube
Yeah I noticed that too, did Burnie even voice him this season? He sounded really odd
@@colonel1003 I don’t think so. Which I find it hard to believe since they brought Burnie back to do this final season.
I knew, KNEW deep down he believed Grif could be better and that's why he treated him like he did. KNEW deep down he believed (even though they were blue) that they were part of each other. Each one was, "One of us." And KNEW that he knew Simmons was better to lead. He was an a**hole. But he was an a**hole with a good heart. RIP Sarge. Such a good character.
Damn spoilers lol.
Ngl this was one of the better moments of the season. No herg bleh tho
A dying man has no secrets to hide
Shame Boomstick will never find out who his dad is
I think he already did in one of the psa's
This is definitely a remnant from when this was going to be a season of episodes. I can definitely see this being the mid season stinger.
Sarge NOOOOOO!!!!
Well, I guess sarge got two funerals now
Sarge has always been my favorite character for the entire time I’ve watched the series. Love his dumbass dearly. Honestly? I’m… not really sad that he died, it seemed like a good ending for him. Especially because he saved Caboose’s life (always been a fan of Sarge and Caboose team-ups) but my only gripe is how.. predictable his death was. I feel like if this was executed in a less predictable way, this could’ve been one of the most tragic parts of the entire series. Rest easy, Red. Best man.🫡 :(
Didn't Sarge survive a 14.5mm round to the head and a pelican landing on him? I mean I know the sword is the key that unlocks peoples death but come on!
No not Sarge too... 😢
I didn't see that coming I teared up.
Im surprised they didnt ask jaxx for sarge's name 💀
season 15-17 were just simulations, not canon, jaxx might not even actually exist in rvb
@@InitialPC oh shit that's right. I totally forgot that when they re-introduced Dylan Andrew's, she wasn't a news reporter this go around
@@InitialPCgood, fucking hate jaxx, my least favorite character
@@InitialPCthis season is too actually considering the teaser trailer
Good bye sarge. You will be missed.😢
Holy shit.. they killed him off.. R.I.P. Sarge
*drops and gives 40 boo hoos 🫡
why didn't he say "today was a good day to die"
I genuinely thought this was gonna be a fake out. FUCK.
Daggerknife you’ve been avenged
SAAAAARGE 😢😭😭
To think that Tucker DID do it this time
They were only acting as enlists again but they were officers since Chorus.
only in the Chorus rebellion, which wouldn't exactly exist anymore as there's not exactly a civil war for a rebellion to exist. Far as the *actual* Reds and Blues are concerned only Grif made it to sergeant and he got bumped back down by Wash at the behest of Sarge
i would have liked if the last thing sarge said was grif i never got to tell you but im…im…im your father son…(he laughs and passes away)
I guess i missed some important details. which season is this? Tucker got Maine's armor at the end or the Korus saga... did he get possessed by the meta? is that what that was? i thought they moved on to a whole new crew of characters after that whole thing with the evil reds and blues in season...14 i think it was? with a new crew in season 15?
Basically the stuff after the chorus final stand was non-canon (just epsilon playing possible scenarios of what might have happened) while 19 kicks off right after said final stand.
I’m not gucking crying your crying 😢😢😢😢
why did they even lay off joel bro
he left lol. Joel himself said he stopped going in, and he was invited back he just didn't answer the phone. Again, this from Joel himself
Is that Planet Zoo music I hear at the end?
Am i the only one who hates the pacing of his death? Im not opposed to the death itself. I felt like it wasnt given enough time to have any meaningful impact. The next scene they are havi g his funeral and they are totally fine with his sacrifice. Idk it just felt rushed we weren't given time to feel the pain of loss of such a beloved character. Its just sarge is dead moving on.
Unfortunately the rest of the season was very stale
And the conversation between Grif and Sarge was really out of character
🫡
This new season sucked
What you mean?
@gayema664 what do you mean what do you mean? He was pretty clear in his comment
@@blackrose8418what do you mean?
and they didn't bring Joel Heyman back either? Hard pass
@@johngonzalez2495 They offered to bring him back earlier for a mini episode, but he declined, I don't think they were going to bother asking again.
Personally, I just did my best to ignore that the voice actor was different, thankfully he didn't have THAT many lines so it was pretty easy. But if they changed the voice actor of literally any of the other Reds or Blues, I would've put the season down and just stuck with my headcanon Season 13 ending. (Which still stands)
1:47 - WTF is goin on with Caboose's legs?
Every time he said “today’s a good day to die”, he meant it.
