Great to see them back! Glad to see another drumline actually play "through the drum" with some aggression and achieving good sound. A lot of feather tapping going on throughout DCI drumlines right now.
I don't understand the current drum scores because they are BY FAR the cleanest line I've heard so far this season. Granted I haven't seen anybody live but they're clarity this early is absolutely insane.
@@jaredkronenwetter7460 they’re winning in achievement but their getting worse content scores which I think is stupid this is some of the fastest and densest book they’ve had in awhile and I think they aren’t getting credit because of how much it flows.
@intiltomorrowproductions agreed. There's this common notion that Rennick writes easy beats but that's just not true, there's plenty of demand. I guess he's just too good at writing musically, and a lot of people are used to hard stuff not being musical
Those carriers are actually pretty comfortable but they do tend to shake loose and have to be retightened frequently but hey it’s all good… I prefer straps
I want other people to play this book so they can appreciate how superior this music is to everything else being put out right now - its actual music, with long phrases across large periods of space, not just spurting out rudamental rams to impress people. fucking missed SCV, cant say enough good stuff about what Paul is doing with the activity. no wonder they play this clean, their book supports them in ways that no other writer is doing for their drumlines (no hate, I am sure all the other writers are doing their absolute best).
@@Uncle_Yam I used the x’y module on the zoom h5. I just placed it near Paul’s feet so I could get the sound come from the bottom heads and the cut outs of the quads

There may be subconscious bias against SCV because SCV was away for a year, so judges figure SCV CAN'T be this good after a year's absence.
