    If Dewitte kept on going the way he was, it was just a matter of time before he wound up either shot or run down in a rage incident. His death clock had been ticking for a long time, until they finally locked him up. The best place for him is prison, both for his and the public's sake.

      @@BlueLineChop I had a slightly smaller displacement Kawasaki without the fairings and panniers. Based on the speed with which he bangs through the gears, those pulls on the highway are routinely 80-90 by my estimation, but always too damn fast and the ballsy lane splitting and getting over the centerline missing having his arm ripped off by a few thousandths of an inch are mindblowing in that he isn't dead.

      Loved that part! I wish they also used the clip of the guy in the truck (Jeremy was screaming at him to stay put) and the guy was asking if he was a cop and dared Jeremy to “go ahead, reach for it!” That clip is pretty damning as to what motorists perceive is going on- with the hand on the weapon thing, while shouting commands, in that cop costume.

    He was told twice to stand down. The last time, they were told to stand down unless they were committing a capital offense. Do you know what you have to to do to commit a capital offense? A capital offense makes you eligible for the death penalty. So, Jeremy was allowed to do everything else. Yeah, no corruption here folks.

      @@wilhallman2890 Jennifer Burton. She has made a career out of finding men she thinks she can easily extort to get what she wants. She’s been doing it long before she ever met Dewitte. She even went as far as attempting to get her grandmother in trouble when she tried kicking her out of her house, and that’s just one instance of the many times she’s attempted to extort family members. If she can’t get things moving with her own methods of crazybitchism, without hesitation, she gets the law involved and will say or do whatever she has to. I’m a firefighter/paramedic in an area that has been all but destroyed by substance abuse. When we’re toned out for any calls related to drug use or common nuisance addresses a deputy or officer is dispatch as well. Misuse or abuse of 911, among about 50 other names for it, including disorderly conduct is commonly used, I’d even say regularly in the area that I live and work in. I realize not every state has the same protocol when it comes to things like this, but per statute (lol) Jennifer calling 911 back rather than a non-emergency number for an officers ETA is a violation of statute by itself.

      This is why we have the federal police. Sometimes Sheriffs need reminded that they, nor their employees, are above the law. The laws are enacted for public safety, and Dewitte is a public safety issue. To say “don’t touch” a certain person is not enforcing law.
      One Florida Sheriff learned the hard way.

      I’m betting that the command staff told them to stand down because Dewitt had complained about harassment against the department for officers writing him tickets. So my guess was to wait for the felony charges because they tend to hold more weight in court than misdemeanor charges, which usually are either plead out or dropped altogether because of case overload.

      @@jturn8003 In speaking with a cop, if you have no record, many will let you off with a warning for a minor infraction (not excessive speeding etc) but the problem with that is, if you speed ALL the time, and no one ever tickets you because no one else ever ticketed you, that totally negates the ticket system. The only time this really works is if you constantly do it at the same time and get the same cop pulling you over.
      If he races around like a mad man once, ok, you know, he effed up, but if he does it all the time and no one tickets him then sooner or later he'll kill someone. If you go to court and show he got caught for speeding 20 over 1000 times, that means something.....
      It's kind of like during a high speed chase: they don't charge you with running a stop sign 80 times, they charge you with dangerous driving and criminal eluding.

Your absolutely right with the speeding analogy, but eventually... 20 speeding tickets over 30 days... I could make that case, with one... maybe reckless driving or something added to the mix.
      Hate, hate to see a person day after day, doing some minor illegal activity, gonna take an amount of time and paperwork, but that person is gonna keep going and going forever like a thorn or a splinter or a hemorrhoid..
      No one wants the same guy running the same stop light or speeding on every single shift I have.

    DeTwitte says he does everything by the book, right at 3:19 it is illegal for him to stop traffic before the funeral gets there. If the light is red when the funeral gets there, they must stop and proceed when it's green. Only THEN can he stop cross traffic once the funeral enters the intersection where it can continue even though the light turns red.

    Rumor has it he just took a consolidated plea deal on all outstanding charges. He plead guilty on All charges and will be sentenced to several 18 month terms to be served concurrently.
    Bottom line 18 months for all of it. Hardly seems like enough considering the danger he put people in

      He got 18months for just one case and that's the impersonation charge. He still has to be sentenced on the failing to register case and three other cases

    What's truly terrifying is that sometimes guys like Dewitte (well, the ones who avoid becoming sex offenders) make it through the academy vetting process and do actually become cops. He's exactly the kind of bully nutjob who shouldn't even be trusted with a firearm, let alone the authority to deprive people of their liberty.

    So who told the sheriff's department not to arrest Jeremy DeWitte? Someone high up in law enforcement? A politician? And just as important: Why? Did this person (or people) have a financial interest in Jeremy's business? Was Jeremy performing other favors or services for someone?

At the end of this video JennB is making a call to 911 again like they’re her personal bodyguard and if you listen good, it’s the exact same call that she made to 911 when Jeremy was arrested for dating violence.
