Trying Horses in Holland (Part 2)

- Some more horses I tried in Holland. Im trying to only include 2 - 4 horses per video, to avoid the videos being too long! I will have another video to come of some more horses. One of these horses will be vetted this week, I don't want to say anything more until then, so fingers crossed I have found my new show jumping partner!!

Well I really liked how efficient the first mare was. Not overly scopey but smooth with a really lovely jump. I really want to point out how well you rode that grey though! Definitely didn't look easy haha. Can't wait to see if your new one passes the vet check :)

The grey one was absolutely stunning!!! She certainly knows and loves her job, but she seemed like she was really fighting you at times. You handled her perfectly though. She's got a ton of potential that's for sure. I think the first mare suited you the best. She's adorable and you guys looked like you really clicked. I hope she's the one you picked :)

Out of all the horses you’ve tried the first horse in this video has to be my favourite, so beautiful also looks very talented to!!
Definitely the first horse is my favourite out of all of the videos. she has the presence and scope with a beautiful movement (love her hindquarters). could definitely do a nice dressage test on her as well.

I actually loved the fiesty grey one at the end. with a bit more work she would be amazing, but she has so much potential and loves her job lol

I would have honestly probably gotten off that grey mare after a few jumps. I felt unsafe just watching her charge like that

My horse jumps like that, I like it, but if I pull him to try to slow him down, he just goes faster, also, he is very fast

But what I said what my opinion and preference, I just personally don’t like horses that rush to the jump in my experience

honestly, even though it was probably very tough riding the white mare, i felt like you two connected very well! same for the first mare btw. but that one seemed way easier and calmer :) dying to see your new horse! and great riding! xxx

Love the fire in the third but it has to be the first one in this as my favourite. When you rode her it looked as if you'd been a partnership for years. You looked a team. Xx
Really liked the first and second one that third one has some sort of fire in them that lights up when they see a jump like holy cow she was revving to go she didnt even wanna flat for you
In this video I like the first one best. She seemed nice and light, and careful with he feet, look like a nice horse! ☺️
The first mare you seemed to click with the best, but the second had that scope though! I'm willing to bet it's one of the first 2 :)

LOVE the first mare. the more compact sturdy types are my fave. Such an adorable face too!
That first one was so lovely and forward thinking, very active and I love how she locks onto the jump. I could be bias though because she has almost exactly the same markings as my chestnut, a girl that blaze and 3 socks 😂
The grey definitely had some spunk! All of them seem like great fits, I kind of like the last one tho!

Honestly you ride these horses so well!! Says a lot about the rider when you can just adjust to a horse so quickly! The 1st mare is my favourite and you both look like you really clicked. 2nd was lovely and had so much scope. The grey mare look very difficult but you handled her amazingly! So exited to find out! Good luck for the vetting😍😍🖤

Do like both the bay mares- 1st mare had a lovely balanced canter & 2nd bay mare certainly had the scope when needed 👍🏼

The first one had a really good mind, easy to place, and the most rideable in my opinion. Definitely would be my pick!

I personally like the second bay. She's bigger, leggyer and has a nice steady long stride. Nice hunter type. she would be perfect for me. ( I'm 5'9). the grey is pretty. Seems a little fussy in the mouth. I noticed though that the one I picked has a flawed right front leg. looks like cannon off set and she toes in. Hard to tell on video.
I feel like that grey had some serious holes in its training, particularly on the flat
I love the grey one! Mostly because I have a soft spot for those kind of horses 😅 you did an amazing job on her! Not sure if you picked her cause she seemed to be very very strong. But on the other hand.. Uri was pretty strong too when you first got him 😄 i guess i just have to wait until you reveal your new family member

I watched this video a 2nd time and changed my mind. I would buy the grey mare. I would just do a lot of flat work and some lunging with elastic reins like Holly does. She's a neat looking horse and would probably end up really fun to ride. I do like a horse with enthusiasim!

Question: Whenever you were jumping, you didn't always close your hip when you were in the air in your 2-point. You just kind of stood up in the stirrups and didn't do anything and I was wondering why? Was the jump weird or something because you did it a few times on every horse. Just curious :P

Grey reminds me a lot of old rushy Boo. Not sure you need that in your life again... but then again you know how to fix it and if grey is cheaper and therefore better bang for your buck because of her behaviour... ;)

Having tried the grey mare what would your opinion be on her? Do you think she has discomfort somewhere, a training fault, or is she just quite hot-headed and sensitive? I know it's difficult to say not knowing her well etc, I'm just interested in your thoughts. You rode her through the hiccups very well x

the grey mare looks like shes really uncomfortable or even in pain from the bit
she really fought it and then she stopped and bucked a bit i think
she didn't stop or buck.. I did find her really strong but she was always ridden by a man :)

id a horse is pushing its head and stuff like that i think the 1st thing the rider needs to try is to leg go a bit
I promise Lauren knows what she's doing. She keeps contact with the horse's mouth, but she's not careless and doesn't hang on the bit.
but if you look after the first jump on her she did let go a bit and the mare sped up
i know i trust her too and i love when she rides bitlewss but i think a lot of riders dont always notice it when the horse isnt very comfortable
