    What a job Dundee are doing here 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The stadium looks incredible; it’s modern, clean and will help attract more fans to the games! The fact it has a dedicated rail standing section is incredible and the “state-of-the-art” LED screens will look amazing! This is EXACTLY what Scottish football needs more of! Too many stadiums looks old and depressing, especially when you look at the likes of Scandinavia and Holland who are constantly looking to progress and build improved stadiums which helps their game become so much more attractive. Let’s hope Aberdeen are next and maybe Celtic too one day… 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🔥

    • @sandersson2813
      @sandersson2813 Před 5 měsíci

      Sounds like they haven't done any work at all.
      Dundee average about 6000 per Game. At £20-25 per ticket that's just 120-160k per game, or 18 home games per season is not even £3m on gate receipts.
      The wage bill is 1.6m, so at best revenue before costs is only 1.4m.
      This stadium is far too expensive for Dundee FC, already in something like 15m of debt.
      No way this is happening.

    • @jacksonbow2766
      @jacksonbow2766 Před měsícem

      @sandersson2813 they will have lots of box suites at the stadium which will he premium costs.
      Offices rented out, and hospitality packages etc. The stadium will help tje club generate a lot more money than what you quoted.
      Concerts will bring in quite a bit also.
      Staying a Dens is not possible, si they need to move anyway and if they have secured the finds for something like this, then it makes sense to go for it.

    The two Milan clubs .and even Lazio and Roma in Italy all ground share yet the two clubs in Dundee which are a stones throw apart do not share . Crazy build a 25 thousand stadium to share would make a lot more sense . But this is Scotland I suppose that is beyond clubs here .

      Only Juve, Inter, AC and soon to be Roma (no sharing with Lazio) will own their stadiums. The rest are owned by local councils and some of them are not in great condition - at all.
      Ground sharing in general is not common in world football. It's entirely understandable why Dundee want their own home.
      I mean if the can afford it, and get all the permissions why on earth would they offer a roof to their rivals?

    West Ham fan in peace. What’s the goal? Is it to build foundations to complete with the biggest clubs in Scotland?
    The reason I’m asking (and I’m genuinely not being patronising), is that even in the top flight, lots of clubs attendances are poor. So building a new ground won’t change that. But does the new ground include a long term vision to start taking steps to winning major honours?
    I’m a fan of Scottish football, I want Scottish teams at the top table, getting investment into the game to ensure local youngsters follow their local teams. I have my own vision for a British League where the pyramids are combined, not just an extended invite to Rangers and Celtic.
