Australian Railways: NSW/Qld Armidale to Wallangarra PTC/QR 45 and 1720 classes, ride the 45 class

Digitised cine with sound. On 3 August 1979, we follow the North Mail hauled unusually by a 45 class, then continue to Wallangarra on the border with Queensland and meet a Queensland Railways 1720 class GM, which shunts, while a PTC ALCO 45 class simmers in the back platform. We chase the 45 class, then ride it and finally film the Northern Tablelands Express. some scenes of lesser quality were retained for their historic benefit.

@ 2:19 Lovely bridge. Walked over it, June 2023. Sunnyside Rail Bridge. Check it out on Google Earth. In gods country. Still mostly there, but won't be long now. Shame, damned shame. Thanks for the memories.
