      Nah she’s not. She’s clearly someone who has been driving for a long time and has picked up a lot of bad habits. One hand on steering and crossing hand movements are simple things that would cause him to fail a test.

      @@dre22 poor hand placement is common for many learners, especially with few lessons. reversing around a bend is no longer tested, and there’s only one manoeuvre on the test, so unless she was asked to do it, she could still pass if she hypothetically couldn’t reverse bay.

    • @dre22
      @dre22 Před 5 měsíci +3

      @@jisoo1571 That’s the problem. She is not a learner. She is an experienced driver who needs to drive like a leaner driver and that’s a different proposition all together. Under pressure, she will revert to what she knows. I’m not aware of current protocols but reverse around bend and reverse parking are similar and that’s where she will come unstuck. Remember the test is not about confirming whether you know how to drive but whether you are a safe driver. She may appear like she knows how to drive but her issue is the number of critical faults which would result in outright fail.

      Most people take lessons, and if they don't have an instructor then they get taught by their parents or friends, which sometimes gets the job done. She's an experienced driver from another country, so she's got a fair chance of passing without anybody's help, but she clearly doesn't know the curriculum and is being ambitious by thinking she'll pass one of the strictest driving tests in the world on the opposite of the road - she could fail for something as simple as rolling into the next bay on the forward bay park which is absolutely fine in normal driving but not allowed in the test.

I thought I'd failed because of a fault on the car but thankfully I passed with 6 minors, one of which was because of the handbrake error. a typical example is yours truly 😊
      you either know how to drive or you don't.

      @gregoryfenn1462 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yeah the problem isn't her entering the roundabout (it was a right hand lane so ok), nor is the issue her exiting (she did signal left on leaving), but the issue is when she changed lanes halfway around the roundabout without signalling. It's unlucky in a way because she did it the way most experienced drivers do it, but still a fail.
