I remember being at an Italian place and the table had garlic bread, pasta, pizza, and beer: Bread, squiggly bread, fancy bread, and liquid bread.
Sounds like a meal that would leave you fartin' for days!
@@CoasterMan13Official if it helps, there were several people at the table. Haha
there is nothing else you really need lets be honest
Sounds like a heck of a meal.
Not the liquid bread 💀💀💀
"Give me a woman who loves beer, and I will conquer the world." - Kaiser Wilhelm. 🍻🍺
A+ video!
Fascinating history of beer and its many types and flavors!
I read the Bavarian beer law was also to restrict hallucinogenic ingredients as well
Sounds great. Can you imagine buying a beer and the brewer added mushrooms? Makes sense 😂

Drinking beer while watching beer history video :D
Same here. I was considering sticking with coffee except one earlier beer until a bit later and then I came across this video and thought drinking a beer while watching it would be fitting. Cheers.
Too bad Dogfish Head doesn't actually make the ancient ales anymore :(
They sadly started making stupid trendy beers and not following their original mission RIP DFH...My all time favorite Palo Santo Marron
They're notable ones out here in California are the IPAs and a couple others but didn't know about the older ales. Must've been some good stuff
@@alejandroramirez4470 they were truly innovative for the times
They always pushed the limit and they always used quality ingredients
Their pumpkin ale, and their stouts are still good
4:02 I once went to an event (Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center) where the film Metropolis (1927) played on the screen while a symphony-style band played live for the soundtrack.
That was the coolest movie experience I have ever had!
That sounds amazing but I'd need more beer to know!

I drank some of the dogfish head Midas touch after I found out about it, it definitely packs a punch. Great video, very interesting! And alcohol I would love to see a video about is tequila. Keep up the great work and great content.🍻
"Because some wars actually reach Pennsylvania" WOW that was COLD!
In Oregon, we have a LOT of micro breweries so it would be tough to pin point one... however I do have a great fondness of Pelican Brewery and their IPA, Beak Breaker. A nice India Pale Ale that has won 9 various awards, packs 9% alcohol, very hoppy brew at 90 IBU and plato of 19.5. And, as they say, "Inconceivably Drinkable"
I'm partial to their Cascadian Dark Ale
One of my favorites is the original Budweiser from the Czech Republic. I also like Samuel Adams and Yuengling.
Yeah Budvar. Falls City Beer tastes almost exactly like it
Only the original Midas Touch in cork finish 750ml bottles from the early 2000s followed the ancient recipe. The mass produced version that's sold in 12oz bottles uses adjuncts and subpar ingredients.
Unfortunately they don't even make that for distribution anymore.
I like Czech beer like Staropomeran or Pilzner Ulquer ( I hope i name it right ) , Heineken beer and Guinness beer. But ofcourse I also drink polish beer like Tyskie or Warka :)
why are y'all hating on the woman narrator?she is good and we learned about BEER! chill
The idea that the Mayflower landed in Cape Cod Bay, rather than Virginia where it was chartered to, because it ran out of beer is highly unlikely. Upon arrival the crew went ashore and took on fresh water which would certainly have kept them over the several days needed to sail south to Virginia, and if not they could certainly have taken on more fresh water as they cruised down the coast. In fact, they spent several days searching for a good spot to land in Plymouth which would almost have been enough to reach Virginia in itself. Nathaniel Philbrick explains this in his book "Mayflower: Voyage, Community, War". What is much more likely is that the Puritans, who were a minority on the ship, had bribed the captain to stop there quite specifically. They had already acquired a native American guide by the name of Tisquantum, commonly known as Squanto, to find a good place for them to live, and in the end they settled on what was the site of Tisquantum's former summer village. Is it hard to believe then that the specific location that they landed at hadn't been planned before they'd even left England? The whole story about running out of beer is based on the writings of a passenger, William Bradford, who was one of the Puritans and later served as governor of the Plymouth Colony for 30 years. The quote reads "...for we could not now take time for further search or consideration, our victuals being much spent, especially our Beere, and it being now the 19.” The quote is taken out of context, however, by those that suggest that the Mayflower landed in Plymouth out of necessity. Bradford is not referring to the search for just any place to land, but specifically a place to set up camp within the area that they'd already pinpointed. There are multiple other sources that concur with this theory if you'd care to search them out.
dont drink, just like learning food history.

Very interesting beer "history" from US.
I remember that it was accidentally "found" in ancient Egypt. Do to climate they were storing grains in dig out places, as it was cooler that outside. One season it was unusually rainy and all of the grain "storage's" were field with water. So, it started to fermenting and when they open storage s they found fermented liquid that down the road became first beer.
Bro wtf
I'd say , beer is "necessary equipment" for anyone forced to endure a baseball game !
