One idea I've read in a book as a kid, you fill a hot water bottle and place a ticking clock under it and cover the hot water bottle with a blanket. When puppies or kittens sleep with it in their bed, the warmth and ticking clock simulates their mother's heartbeat, as a way of comforting the little fur baby to sleep.

My cat was like this as a kitten because his mother was adopted out before her litter was. He still does the kneading and nuzzling, etc. to this day. Although it’s sad that some kittens are separated from their mothers too early, kittens that go through this tend to have very strong emotional attachments to their people. My current cat is the most affectionate pet I’ve ever had by a long shot. He will occasionally cry to wake me up at night so he can get some love. He actually will force his face under my hand and slide it down his back if I don’t pet him immediately. :)
I know what will i say is sick af but hear me out. Cats cuteness and bonding chance to humans peak at when they are kittens. So if you want to get some affectionate cat get it while they are young otherwise they wont show you the love they show to their mom.you will care about them but they will endure you only for food. In order to make them truly love you, you need to be the first and only fundemental thing in their life. Even if it comes to seperate them from their mom. I wouldnt have a cat which doesnt show me any affection at all. Humans need love too.
My cat when her mom birth her she dosent love her anymore so i take care of her everyday i fell happy but she got hurt....

Lol yes I have observed this....when my kitten turned 4 months old her mom left her to be on her own and whenever she tried to snuggle with her she would just be aggressive instead, so Becoz of that she would come to me and snuggle with me . Interestingly cat moms who still care for their young after 4 months have kittens who don’t really feel the need for human affection and just run away, but they will nicely feed on what u give them ;)
I'm shedding plenty of loving tears for that beautiful little angel...I want to hold and hug him so badly. 😢

0:45 Actually you can, sort of. In the US, people who foster kittens often use an old toothbrush. If you get a toothbrush with hard bristles is feels very similar to a cats tongue. Soni might like that.
Go to kitten lady on CZcams. She has a video of how to comfort a very young kitten. Your kitten is very sweet. Enjoy him, he has a full life ahead of him😻

Some tips to try to make Soni feel better are
1 Use a toothbrush and brush it gently over his head and back like grooming 2 get kitten formula.

Using a toothbrush to mimic grooming is a good idea. I wish I'd known about this a decade ago when my crazy/loveable/queen-of-queens calico kitty came into my life. That way, Soni can be: 1) less miserable & 2) get use to being brushed, especially as he grows up. Also, check out the Kitten Lady's YT videos, as well as her book(s). She incredibly knowledgeable on caring for cats & kittens of all circumstances.
Yes, Kitten Lady has a video on how to soothe fussy kittens, and one of the things she recommends is brushing them with a toothbrush.

Such a little cutie, what a little angel, glad he has you to care for him, he shows his love for you ,,by you taking the roll of mum cat,,, he don't look sick, just missing his mum, that can be a big deal for a little kitten like this,we adopted a stray black kitten was near the road in our town nearly could have got run over, as he was only about two to three weeks old, we called him Lucky,, he was frozen with the cold and shivering, so I made up syringes with bought cat milk formula, and feed him every 2 hours, he's is now alot bigger a juvenile cat, we got him neutered a couple of days ago, as he was very aggressive,, and has calmed down alot,, he is absolutely bonkers, more like wired with engery,, when running around, but still such a sweet cat,❤️🐈😽👍😺

One morning, 19 years ago, when my mother lived in Virginia, her dog brought her a kitten. It was only a few weeks old, and its mother had been killed. My mother found nearly a dozen more kittens, and brought them to the adoption center, except the one that her dog had brought to her. That cat's name was Rascal, and he lived with us for 18 amazing years, until his sad passing a few years ago. This video warms my heart, and if anything tries to hurt that innocent fur ball, I will personally hunt them down.

Same..I had a calico kitten my brother picked up from the streets. We took care of it with my sister but sadly, she had a serious disease and we didn't see it. It might have been an eye infection but my siblings didn't wanna worry about it. She was only 2-3 weeks when we found her and died when she was 3-4 weeks...

Little tip i used to do for my little babies, take a toothbrush you won't use and wet it, then brush the top of their head with it. Soothes them a lot.

I have a wonderful doggo. When I adopted him, he was obviously too young. But the mom's owner forced us to take him 😠
I loved him so much, I took him and me and my bf replaced his mommy. We did our best. He was as big as a little rabbit. We gave him milk, he woke us up several times during the night because he missed his mom and siblings. Poor baby was so tiny. It was like being a mother and having a real baby lol. We gave him so much love and support, that my tiny rabbit became the most confident, calm, handsome wolf-like doggo. He's a big boy now, and he's so happy and confident. I love him from the bottom of my heart. I know that it's difficult to take care of a pup or a kitten when they were separated too young from their mommy, but it's possible. Just be very patient and give to the little furball all the love and support you can, and it will be fine ❤️
