  • Small demo of all the functions I had programmed to my UltraVoice at the time of recording. This includes some basic signals as well as some voice files to demo that. Voice is a little distorted, which is due to bad calibration. The gain is too high.

You actually made it fade out on the SiraTone chimes. that's cool. I've never heard it do that before.

That's because it's a voice file, not a generated tone file.

@@thunderbolt10031 I wonder why the ones in Addison didn't do it this way?

@@J19_vlogger74 Because no one has the time to update all the SD cards individually to add chimes when one command from their encoder can reflash all the controllers with a new tone file with it. Chimes isn't one of their signals, it was only used for in field testing. You'll never hear those sirens play chimes unless it's a service call. Only reason they had it to begin with is because I put it in there just because I wanted to. Otherwise, it would be stock UV chimes.

The wind up is pretty much spot on, but the wail cycle sounds off. The wail cycle on the MC only goes down to 300 Hz whereas the wind up and wind down start and end at 200 Hz.

@@SirenArchives this does go down to 300Hz in wail, only difference is a firmware bug that causes the tones to drift too far out of alignment so it sounds wrong at that low point in the cycle

@@thunderbolt10031 Does this firmware bug affect _all_ Federal signal digital siren controllers produced to date? I've heard this tone drift on MC, MCP, and UV, most noticeably on custom programmed tones.

Why is the volume of the sound fluctuating?

The amps are actively adjusting to ensure clean signal output and minimal overdrive and distortion. When you install them, you need to run the calibrate function on the control module and it commands the amplifiers to sense the load on each amplifier and adjust to output the correct amount of power. The only amplifiers on the market to my knowledge that are able to tune themselves to their speakers.
