The screws we provide with our Slatwall are wood screws. When installing the Slatwall panels on metal studs you will need to get 1 inch or 1 1/2 inch self tapping screws.
This product has not been tested for 18” stud centres, it was done for 16, which would be 75 lbs per sq.ft. If you have 18” stud centres I would opt for our Procore Slatwall or higher. This will give you 200 lbs per sq.ft
@@ProslatInc thank you for clarifying. Does Proslat sale additional screws? With my studs being 12inches apart and not 16, I am having to use two extra screws per panel. I been to a couple hardware stores and can’t seem to find a great match. Any help would be appreciated.
@@huevosrancheros702 Hi Don, my pleasure. Reach out to us from our website (dont think I can put email addresses in youtube comments) we would be happy to send you extra screws/ hardware we would just kindly ask that you cover the shipping cost which would not be a lot considering the package will be small. Thank you,
Hi Andy, I would check your local fire safety codes to be 100% sure which walls require drywall. The product can be installed directly onto studs - no drywall.
This is a great how-to video! Easy to follow and straight to the point. Thank you!
Thank you! So glad to hear you found this helpful.

what options do I have if the ends do not have a stud?
Cut the panels to length so they start and end on a stud…mitre saw works well
What’s the weight rating for 18” studs?

What if my studs are 12” apart?
Thanks for the question. You would screw into the studs at every 12 inches. It becomes an issue when you are wider than 16" apart for PVC Slatwall.
