@@chavruta2000 The spring reverb was part of a Hammond organ . Leo Fender’s testpilot and surf pioneer Dick Dale took one out and asked Leo to make him a reverb tank for his guitar amp . Later these came built in Fender amps So it was already heavily exploited in surf music halfway the 1950’s .
