i could definitely get better at aiming and one issue i have (not necessarily me but my teammates since i solo) is positioning, i try to tell them we need to reposition or get to ring and i even explain why as simply as possible and they never listen😩 i gotta start leaving without them
I'm duo queuing in plat rn but i hit diamond last split. i am watching this because i feel that i cannot take 90% of fights. we rat a lot and third party a lot, but of course that's not the only thing we do. i believe its hard right now because the previous masters/preds are in this rank.

Try improving taking 2v3 situations because this season once 1 teammate is knocked then they full rush you
100 percent. im queuing now and teams are way easier, have way weaker positioning and mechanics

Man, you really went for the jugular. Love it. Too many people are dishonest with their playstyle, legend of choice, and ability. EVERYONE isn't amazing, and that's okay. Excel in other areas and use a legend that helps you do so!

If platinum is considered a "starter" level then me celebrating about hitting gold last season is a little feeble 😅
It's just where you gotta start improving on Specific Skills based on your own ability and playstyle. Gold is the checkpoint for general grasp of mechanics, aiming and simple positioning. Totally worth feeling good about having put in the time and energy to get to where you're now focused on improving more advanced techniques
Gold lobbies are free when u get plat u gotta start learning the game to rank up

Thank you so much for this it's helpful and entertaining. I just started playing ranked this season and the check list is similar to what I was thinking about when trying to improve but I feel that positioning (which falls under map knowledge) should be more important. I have a good grasp on most of the other concepts and have been solo queueing my way up the ranks but platinum has had me stuck as I constantly have to take 1v3s or feel like I'm badly positioned and can't get an angle during the fight . Keep the videos up and thank you again!
I second the feeling of struggling to find good angles to support teammates in fights. I think that leads me to believe I need to pick higher mobility champs

It may not be applicable for these type videos but are there any small tips for people that are confident in knowing their skill lvl but get nervous because of the ranked title?
I found that especially when I hit diamond and the games slow down and have like 6 teams on a small circle that Gibby, Valk, and Fuse was a good combination. Valk for repositioning, gibby for the dome shield and Res and Fuse to keep teams from pushing when they break shields or holding a spot as a circle closes and teams are forced to fight.
I think you need to do another series after S13 ranked changes.
S12 is an aberration.
I’m a Solo Q, no mic player. A few hours a night. There is no reason for me to be in D4 right now after the split.
But the “cheat code” has ruined rank.
People are warm dropping, apeing for KP then flying away and hiding for top 5 or 3.
I do not have the skill to soloQ, no mic to Masters. But with these changes if I could grind I would make it there.
We need:
1/ Demotions
2/ Team RP
3/Moving Final Circle.
If the final circle was dynamic it would break the final ring camp meta and force teams to engage with the game in front of them every single game.
The tips are high level, not focused on the RP system, same tips would apply. Why they are based on positioning, engaging on a fight, and legend decision. I mention that in the series, not focusing on the RP points since system changes a ton anyways.

i solo queue and here in plat lobbies my team mates always spend the whole time looting, i’ll quickly loot, ping an area and they will literally refuse and start spam marking enemies to be annoying and they just run off solo doing their own thing and once it comes to a fight they either run away when i need help or push a whole squad by themselves-
Hi dazs does apex still have bug with the high fps? I mean if the fps exceed 190 the game will be choppy?
Now at this point, if you have a team that is insanely slow at looting and just doesn't want to rotate to fights and hide most of the game, do you just play with your team regardless? Or if they get caught in a fight and get picked off, do you play for rotation still and leave?
I hit diamond once like 2 seasons ago and I'm trying to regain the knowledge here.
Definitely play with your team. Usually you can lead them, but if they refuse to fight, then just stick with them for the time being. It's always better to fight with your team than alone. There are scenarios where your team may just get wiped and your only move is to play zone & rat for placements. But to be honest, if you're trying to get better: unless you have a decent amount of KP, I would just take a fight/die. The purpose is to get better and not just obtain a rank!

i def have an issue with dealing with pressure consistently, and i don't have true 'mains', and i really just play ash in ranked but never in pubs. My aim just carries me x-x
I tap strafe and bunny hop just from muscle memory playing so much cod, but I just can't get the aim perfect in this game it's different💔

I was diamond last split diamond 3 for context now im hard stuck plat 4 and I have no idea wtf happened. Cause it’s not like I took a break from the game I haven’t stopped so idk why I can’t get out of basically shitty lobbies
KC is a totally different beast in terms of game play. Olympus is much more forgiving. KC is so easy to traverse fast which means you will get 3rd and 4th partied so much faster and more often than on Olympus. Keep an eye on how fast half the squads get wiped on KC compared to the other maps in ranked.

You want an easy way to improve yourself? Play on 3-5 different accounts and get them all to platinum then start grinding each one to diamond until you can hit diamond on all 5 accounts in a single season
Also think about looting as a row of urinals: don't pee right next to me bro.

0:31 Yes to all. I can confidently say I'm moderately good in all of them.
I play very well in Normal BR and I thought it was because it's full of New players. But then I found out the reason I played well was because I actually had good teammates. And that Normal BR was by no means filled with new players.
Currently in Platinum 4 and oh Boi this rank has made me develop some hatred for Wrath mains (as teammates). I'm pretty sure that most people currently in Platinum are just rats.
Tbh for ranked all you need until diamond is comms. If the team is just running around and going of pings there will be situations where you will get pinched, sandwiched or miss a squad wipe all because noone called "wipe this team its free" or "team running behind you". Dont be scared just give comms everything helps as long as its useful info
Honestly my problem with plat is my teammates. I find them to be worse than Gold players. They die instantly every game, I can't even pick up a gun before they die and I'm not exaggerating.
I find gold and lower plat randos to be the worst. Lot of people that think they are good and might mechanically be so, but are bad at or just don't care about team play. Also remember plat is where all your diamond+ players end up at the beginning of a split. So if you're running with randos you very well might be coming up against 3 stacks with good coms making their way back up the ranks. First week is always very bad for solo queuers like me.

When is an apex tuber gonna actually tell me how to reach masters solo? playing with people from the discord and solo q almost hurts my rp
It is done by investing lots of time, patience, and minimalizing losses.
You need to have strong aim, movement, and positioning so you are always coming out ahead in your own 1v1's. If your team gets eliminated, you need to understand you gotta bail and run. This is easier to do on mobility type legends so you can minimalize a loss.
But really its time. You gotta beat the random number generation by investing time in. You will drop a metric ton at times, and pull ahead other times. Its not impossible, but you need to understand you are playing the game of it beating your own mental. That is the realest advice anyone can give.
When you solo queue, your lobbies are a bit easier. But this also depends on time of day. Because the system will try and pair you with others that are not fully stacked.

Why is not done more often? The randomness even for a pro can be incredibly frustrating and you question "Who are you trying to impress". Because the reward at the end is the same. If you are a content creator. Then yes it makes way more sense because there is a payout. If you are not doing it for cash the time investment can be annoying. Even if you do it in a timely fashion, you can do it faster with even a duo. Then go work out, make some extra cash, hang out with a friend.
Sorry for the long wall. Just wanted to be real on actual advice.
Now for some tough love. If you playing with peeps in your discord or friends and you still drop RP. Means you are not skilled enough yet. Playing with friends can also make you less focused and too comfortable.
Kings Canyon currently is crazy annoying for third parties.

Lol octane is not top tier 99% of the time. Very few people can play him well and those people would be way better as wraith/ash or Valk. Hence why literally no one uses octane in algs anymore.
Been wanting to have a guide like this. Since its my first time really going all way out to get a Diamond rank since the soft launch of this game.
Now in Plat 2 after dropping back to 3 a few times.
I finally hit Diamond 4!!
Now I'm contemplating whether to push further.

Uninstall the game and move on to a game that works. Thats ultimately how you get better😉. The more you know.
Another thing that keeps players stuck is their FPS, its hard playing on a 60fps computer while enemies are playing above 120FPS , their game is smoother than yours (unnoticed disadvantage) combine that with high ping on solo Que its a disaster
People play in pred lobbies on console tho.
I always get stuck in plat 3 I don’t know why once I get through plat 3 it’s get easier
