What I like about Morissette is her belt does not sound like a scream and her growl does not sound like scream. Both are so clear and pure chesty that's why she has a super clear tone. Her whistle is so clear too. My God. Nobody in the history matches the greatness of Morissette. Old Morissette or new Morissette is equally perfection and that's what we can always lean on. We don't rely on her previous self or fulture self. We show what she can do right now. QUEEN MORISSETTE

Two amazing singers. Regine is ageless. Legends are timeless. Other singers have to step up theirs game when performing with Regine. That includes Morissette.
That said, Morissette did an insanely amazing performance. This was the duet I had been waiting for ever since Regine switched to ABS-CBN. That last part. When Regine was belting and Morissette whistling was musical heaven. Songbird & Phoenix killed that Butterfly.

I agree with everything you said...one more thing is the age difference...maybe 2 decades apart & still Regine can go side bt side & do showdown with younger generation... I am more impressed with Regine mainly because if that...I saw Regine's videos in her early years like at her 20s & she can hit really high notes on point..so exact with her notes...she was more adventurous in her 20s & now still smooth, exact with clarity in her voice & lyrics of the songs performed 👌😊

Omg! I LOVED this reaction! I LOVED this performance soooo freakin much, just two of my favs ripping my heart out. My observation (this from an old Mariah fan as in cassette tape 😉) "My All" (Morissettes song,) is far more stylistic than "Never too Far" Regines. My All (the original) was always interesting to hear with headphones because it tricks your ear with her switching back and forth falsetto to chest. The task for Morissette is tricky. Stick to the original style or abandon it and risk the "Well clearly she doesn't have the skills Mariah had in that song (she risks that period, but less so in sticking with the original) Either way it was sooo beautiful I have done the rewind replay on it an embarrassing amount of times. " Never too far" is more straight forward. Mariah doesnt do all the switching back and forth. This song was/is a staple in Regines rep and she still delivers! Butterfly was one Regine used to do as well. That climax belt plus Whistle just took me places! Morissettes Dad has a raw upload of this that I like better because the camera stays on both the entire time and closer so we can see better whats going on. The main thing is the beautiful respect with these two artists. Mentor and mentee giving us the vocal satisfaction we crave! Thanks for this reaction. I've been looking for it to arrive here!

regine is one of the singers who dont use in ear monitor( ever) when singing. check all of her videos when singing. such incredible sense of hearing

What i love about Filipina singers of these variety shows is their vocal consistency outside the recording studio. They are not hit or miss. They don't need any studio editing to fix whatever vocal flaws because its not common to them. And they sing 100% live, undubbed and no pre-recorded tracks.
The originality of regine made her different, even if its somebody else's song and when she sing it. Itll be different
No doubt a great collaboration and no competition. Anyone who has seen the rehearsal video can imagine how much fine tuning was done. Morissette of timbre and emotionality the truly most remarkable princess. I hope her voice stays in good shape. The mentioned squeeze theme is a dance on the razor blade.

I just love how you react...I must say, that it's also aalwys on point😁...kidding aside, you're so skilled when it comes to analyzing singing voices and techniques...i'm amazed how you compare these two great singers that I admire so much...Regine's my long time singing idol, my number one..., just effortlessly belting evry high note there is especially during the midyears of her career and still doing it now, that it seems like she's never aged vocally...and then I've started loving Mori when she's finally developed her voice fully and beautifully...i wish that she maintains her voice until she reaches Regine's age now which is 50❤️

I like the two singers, but I still go with Regine Velasquez. She always bring me to the heart of the song; not giving much emphasis on the technicality or how her voice will sound to the audience. She’s definitely the undisputed Queen 👑 to the fact that she’s aging and had some problems on her throat due to her acid reflux she still managed to sing and give out of this world performance! Her voice power and highnotes are insane! Still the voice to beat for me! On the other hand morisette is also great 👍
