I bought this beast recently...my first car :) really happy with the performance and power. She has got a great road presence alongwith power when competes with Audi A3, BMW X1 or Merc GLA. Hats off to Tata for bringing this sturdy machine in the market. Driving Harrier is an emotion for me!

I just watched the entire video now. Your review is very honest and genuine Faisal. I own a XZA+ variant and is in love with the car. I agree with the shortcomings you have mentioned and these are areas where Tata could have made things better. But when you compare this with the Jeep Compass, Harrier is true value for money!
The fuel efficiency is actually *better*, I have been getting 12 KMPL in the city and 14.3 KMPL on the highway (in city drive mode)!
I have done about 15k km in this exact variant (XZA+ DT)... It's an absolute GEM! The road presence, Handling, Looks... Nothing to complain.
*EDITED:* Did a Highway run of 800+ Kms at 80-120 KMPH in All three Driving Modes Mode, Fuel efficiency is insane!
Eco Mode: 18.3 KMPL
City Mode: 16.2 KMPL
Sports Mode: 13.8 KMPL
Hi Abhinav, I am evaluating Harrier, Karoq and the Compass. Have you faced any issues with the infotainment system or component noises in the dashboard?
I am facing difficulty in that knee rubbing into the panel
@@anandbatra Nothing on component Noise I have driven it On very bad roads! But the Infotainment system is not the Best, There is some lag at times and had to restart it.
But its a Lovely car! Absolute Fun to drive and I feel its Automatic is better than Compass. Its also significantly more spacious than compass.
@@RahuLmuZika I have found the sweet spot of the seat to avoid that :) You can pull the steering out and Decrease the seat height a bit.

I test drove Harrier 2020. Compared it with the BMW X1.
Harrier wins in Rear seat comfort, better ride quality by soaking up the bumps potholes immaculately, better Sun roof, chilling AC, probably best in class sound system.
X1 wins in 0-100 - 100-200, Driver and pillion seat comfort, high speed control (marginally) as it is compact in size.
For half the price, HARRIER is s champion! It's the best SUV money can buy under 25-30 lakhs. Hats-off to TATA.

1. Auto roll up and roll down for all windows using single button
2. Pinch free protection to all windows and sunroof
This is what i was saying from last 2 years that if tata get to success in indian market they need to bring Land Rover designers in their team. Now this is amazing car with great looks.

Amazing car to drive, can cruise at 140 kmph at ease on highway and super comfy for long journeys. My only cribs are: Reverse camera n infotainment are horrible. There is a wierd issue where car sometimes can't pull properly in 2nd gear at low rev and stops abruptly unless downshifted despite being 2.0L diesel.
This car is huge and for that reason it should have had 360 camera with front parking sensors... which is missing and its a big big bummer

My harrier XZA+ is giving average of around 12-13 in city and 14-15 on highways, which I think is pretty good.
Gonna miss the gorgeous orange colour of the Harrier. It looked beautiful on the car but Tata discontinued it. Sad!
