I’m from Creekview High School and our show was about 2 ideas of death. Your first death is your physical, but your second death is about when your name is last said. Memory Eternal comes from the idea that your name shall be said forever.
Hii!! I’m a Creekview graduate now (Memory Eternal was my final scholastic season) & I wanted to explain a bit on what our show was about. Memory Eternal tackles the concept of having 2 deaths: your physical death, & when someone last speaks your name. The tarp rolling forward represents your life existing, & when it stops is your final moments of life, where everything comes flooding in, like your life is flashing before your eyes. When the tarp begins to roll up once more, this is where you are gone, & those around you who knew you in your life, either begin to die or forget you. The idea is that your legacy & those who knew you will carry your essence on to keep your name alive, however when the world forgets you after some time, you then fully die. Thank you so much for watching our show & being so invested in understanding it! It’s a very deep theme but I personally loved performing it & embodying such an involved & deep concept.
