IF I was in charge of balance to bring this gun inline with others I would slow down the speed while Aiming down the optic and futher adjust hipfire accuracy while strafing and spamming. Still, even after the patch, there is no reason not to main this weapon as it outperforms pretty much everything at close and medium range. With the lack of speed reduction while strafing you become harder to hit when your target, when using an SMG, AR, LMG, or Sniper is an easier one...
I would just take the ability to put extended mag away, also if you use the aim point on ur monitor for some reason most if not all the gun hip fire 100% accurate on the first shot within 20m the scout is deadly accurate but the longbow hip fire is all over the place
I would say the nerf (universal to all weapons) should include different damage modifiers for the arms. I'd expect the same damage modifier as the legs but make it so all ammo types pass thru arms to give damage to the "upper body" hit box, if the line of fire so passed thru the arm to the upper body. I don't know what modifier to damage should be given at this point. obviously less than direct hit
I Would say more bullet drop so longer range shots will be more to skill. That's what you want right? It also creates more ballance for rifles because the wingman will not be as effective.
XfactorGaming I really think that it would be balanced way better if they just made the hip fire absolutely trash. Then it’s all about closing the gap on a wingman user and forcing them to swap weapons.
The Wingman is a revolver that uses 6-shot removable cylinders to reload and accepts mag attachments...lulz. Respawn should have removed its mag attachment as the first balance adjustment to it, but since they chose to keep it as an option the Mozambique should get mag attachments!
Honestly agree with your assessment, the slight nerfs did not adress the main issues. And if offers too many advantages, a big one being inventory space as you only need like 80 bullets.
Yeah this is my experience with it too. My go to loadout is r-99/wingman and every now and then I notice the fire rate decrease but 95% of the time it feels the same. You still shred everyone the only thing is you can't two tap to the head if they have purple armour anymore but that didn't happen often enough to rely on anyway so it doesn't matter.
Idea: Make each tier Heavy Mag only give +1 bullet. Purple Heavy Mag would give +3 to a total of 9 instead of 12. The current nerfs are a good start, but if you don't want a spamcannon, it needs a smaller mag and/or longer reloads.
I think they should lower the ROF to ~150 RPM, and lower the purple extended mag to 9 shots. Additionally if you attach the skull piercer attachment it should lower the ROF to ~110 - 120 RPM to add a little risk - reward to the equation.
I have no problem with the wingman currently or before the patch. It’s a high risk high reward weapon that takes skill to use. It’s dps is really not that high due to rate of fire, they’re have been countless times I’ve gone up against someone point blank range with both of us having purple armor. I have a wingman and they have a 301 and we start shooting at the same exact time and they drop me. Even though every one of my shots hit the body. If you substantially nerf the rate of fire or reduce damage it wouldn’t even be worth using. Like the longbow. The wingman is either going to be a great gun or a gun not worth picking up. No in between. I personally think it should stay how it is.
Yes there is..as have I gone up against others and lost straight up til I got better with it, all the ppl I play with don't like cause like they say its a risk, plus its hard to get use to. Honestly I can't stand ppl that complain about weapons that's hard for them to use, or get mad at a person for using it. Everything is based on skill in the end, sad ppl still are complaining after it has been nerf'd. Sounds to me like most is that yous have a hard time using the weapon getting those head shots, and learning how to be constantly Mobil with it. I can use every single one of the weapons and get the same results. And I've also gone against other that use it and came out on top plenty. All I'm really hearing is ppl not being able to use the weapon so there complaining about it.
The wingman feels even better now imo, I can't panic and miss shots by firing too fast. The peacekeeper still feels way to strong, I hate having a gun that can essentially 1 hit even with purple armor. This game is supposed to have a long TTK and yet if you don't miss the peacekeeper can wipe a squad without reloading...
No, it's live and deployed server side. What comes later is the changes to the bigger characters. The fact that you don't even think it is out is telling how little it changed though.
@@rivaLxfactor Yeah, I know...I saw that later on. Good strategy, I would have recharged my shield and most likely would have died because of it XD LOL sweet vid BTW. Miss the golden days when BF4 was the main thing. Good to see your vids from time to time

@@TheTeehee11111 Exactly. I would think, that everything else that is going wrong should be addressed before nerfing. Like unintentional solo ques or the multiple crashes people deal with.
@@lancemarshall7291 Yeah, I'd hope it was obvious. That's why I said it. The point is that it doesn't need to be at the top of the list. The devs who are working on bug fixes and hardware optimization probably aren't the same ones who are working on balance.
Honestly I don't think they need to be nerfed more. There're many firefight scenarios and at long range Wingman/Peacekeeper will not compete with R301 or Spitfire, and even at short range their DPS is below R99 and auto Prowler. The technical aspect plays a far bigger role than balance in my experience.
You can easily avoid long range in this game. I do it all the time. Maybe just adjust the strafe speed while ADS and further adjust the hipfire spam. Also, playing cover you can easily take DPS away from SMG's and AR's if you know how.
In my opinion they did a great job. They didn’t nerf it into the ground, just testing the waters and being careful with the meta. They may decide to nerf it more down the road, but Respawn is already showing they’re capable of patching this game without breaking it. Something many game devs have trouble with now a days.

yup, a that's what a skill Canon is. I don't think a 1% of players, but a upper tier of player none the less should be excelling with it and not just anyone. it needs to move away from the noob tube catagory
At what point does a gun become a "skill cannon"? That seems like a pretty subjective thing. They just need to decrease the fire rate some more and I think it'll be fine for everyone.
Wingman is way to strong. Its nothing else but a low skill weapon, but just logical to pick over any other gun. Best Strafe speed, good hipfire, spamable, 2shot headshot kill against LVL3/4 Armor with Scull-Piercing, which you find plenty of during a match and it saves you a lot of Inventory space. Havoc is a high skill weapon because A) The default variant is hard to use, It has the strongest vertical recoil (for AR's that is) and B) the "Sniper-Mode" is hitscan but requires you to have good tracking ability (until the rifle is charged up, which is weird for a "DMR".
IF I was in charge of balance to bring this gun inline with others I would slow down the speed while Aiming down the optic and futher adjust hipfire accuracy while strafing and spamming.

100%. There is a second nerf they have ready. they're letting this one go for a bit to get the data on it.

Yeah I've had the same thought, I think if it needs to be a skill based gun, take away the safety net when you miss shots.
you were always close af when you hip fired

They need to slow the bullet velocity and rate of fire a tad more.
They need to make max damage like 29 on that mthfker. Leave multiplier at 2.5
I still get shrekt by wingman/PK quite a bit. Still feel like they need to come down in power quite a bit.
They need to make it 140 rpm like the handcannons from destiny
reduce extended mag efficacy
common=7 shots
rare=8 shots
epic=9 shots
Considering you are a former professional FPS player, maybe it's a skill Cannon and you are just way more skilled than the people it's balanced for.

They should slow down the reload speed so you have to load the it bullet by bullet. That way the gun is still usable, but to an extent.
