Both are completely different. It is like asking which is better: Apple or Orange?
To earn via investing you need to have an extremely large corpus. You can do trading but that is highly risky unless you have the requisite skills & experience.
To run a successful business you need to have insight, execute the plan, build a solid team & then grab market opportunities.
Each one has its own pros & cons.
