Do you know a good dairy free replacement for the cream?
Sometimes, when you're alone and feeling at loose ends, you pick up your phone and see that the Twins have a new video up. Yay!!😊
Awwwwwwwwww 🙈🤗❤️
Yep… did it tonight🤷♀️ except everyone is asleep and I can’t. So lets check in on the twins!
This recipe is close to a recipe we had our Boy Scouts did on a long campout! I had forgotten about this idea 💡.
Great job ladies!
You are so right! Spot on! These 2 are such a joy!😊
Ditto. ❤
Y’all😂🥰
My kids (40s) did this in preschool with a coffee can, ice, salt and the mixture in a baby food or small jar inside the coffee can. Then roll the can back and forth for a while...
My daughter did that project too.❤
@lauraa2877 I did that also with my girls when they were little 😅
I did too. Yumm yumm
@@jacquelineb8778 Good memories 😊
Thank you for this hack with the coffee can! Wasn't looking forward to shaking.
Awesome 👏🏻 job ladies!
Good memories. While working in a preschool we would use 2 coffee cans. A 3lb can and a 1 lb can. The 1 lb can would hold all of the the ingredients. The 3 lb can would hold the 1 lb can along with ice all around. The students would sit in a circle and roll the can to each other. This way everyone was involved in making the ice cream. Delicious!
Today I think the 16 oz can is now 12 oz . 🤷♀️
I remember having an ice churner years ago that used ice and salt to make the ice cream base freeze. What was old is new again!
Ice cream for thought... When mixing the ice cream for 5 min, maybe hold it with oven mitts to help cut back on the freezer burn!!!! Just thought of that....hope it helps!
Great tip!
I wrap my bag in a towel to avoid the freezing. I have potholders rather than oven mitts. 😅
You girls are a riot! Never a dull moment!
I'm hacking this recipe by adding two egg yolks for extra fat and richness. I'm also going to put the mixture in a blender to start the thickening process before adding to the bag. Thank you for this!
I hope you (and honestly, can't believe you haven't yet) hit your goal of 500K subscribers! You're entertaining and fun to watch (at least for me over the past few years). Keep doing what you're doing and helping us out; this is fantastic and I can wait to try it!
Aww thank you! That’s so kind of you to say!
I get the chocolate protein shake, put it in a blender with a couple of cups of ice and a packet of LMNT chocolate salt. Makes a delicious shake! Just takes about 30 seconds of noisy blending! 🤣😂🤣
A pinch of tara gum will help with texture too. I cut the bottom corner of the bag and squeeze it out like soft serve.
I've had a Creami since they came out and I make a LOT of keto icecream. I always use powdered Allulose as it keeps the icecream from becoming too hard. If you only have granular, put it into a coffee grinder or food processor to powder it. I have been making your strawberry cottage cheese icecream in the Creami and I eat some every day. Yummy!
I'll have to try using allulose because all my creami ice cream came out like dry dust. They say to use agave. Yuk!
Will you share a recipe with us? Most of my creami ice creams were a fail...
@@debraderosa9302 I mainly now use the Twin's cottage cheese recipe. 24oz of the lowest carb Cream Cheese you can find. Use a stick blender to blend smooth. Add Allulose to taste and whatever flavorings you like. I usually make strawberry, and grind the strawberries up with the stick blender. I will also throw in 1-2 Tablespoons of Torani sugarfree Strawberry syrup. Add some heavy whipping cream at the end but don't beat that as it will turn to butter. Just mix well. Then I divide it into my Creami cups and freeze. When you run a cup, do 1 cycle on Lite, then respin at least once maybe twice and it should be a good texture. Some people run 2 cycles on Lite.
@@debraderosa9302 Try to find powdered Allulose as the granular doesn't break down well in icecream. If all you can find is granular, you can powder it yourself using a heavy duty blender or an electric coffee grinder. In a pinch, a mortar and pestle can do small amounts.
Thanks so much! I use confectioners allulose for baking, so I've got plenty on hand. Will have to give this a try. I never thought to use cream cheese. 💝
I used to do this with my students in Physics class to explain thermodynamics, namely latent heat of distribution during a phase change of a substance! Such fun we had passing around the ziplock bags of custard/cream inside bags of ice and rock salt! 💜
As a mom to grown twin boys, that last comment had me laughing so hard!
Love your videos and love that we are town neighbors, as I can appreciate your references to Chicago :)
🙈🤗 love that! Hi neighbor!!
Salt is literally a rock (mineral) it cannot spoil.
LOL 😂Sarah, same! I have ALWAYS eaten any type of frozen or creamy dessert with the long handled Gerber baby spoons I saved from when our kids were babes. ALWAYS. And I get quite protective of those spoons😁❤️
😂 I just discovered this hack and need to have my spoon for keto ice cream 😂
I use my long-handled little spoons for ice cream. I'm really protective of my spoons too! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who does this.
I ran an elementary school science lab .. this was one of my students favorite “experiment” we used newspapers as insulation also used pot holders !
Love this recipe and COFFEE!!! IF you think the dash was loud ...the creami is super loud I use mine in the garage lol :)
Huge props for resisting the urge to lick the spoon of hazelnut spread, lol! I cannot resist any time I try to drizzle it on my desserts 🤣
Singing together, a twin moment, so cute.🥰
Try using alulose especially liquid allulose It helps with the iciness.
We haven’t tried liquid allulose yet but will soon!
I can’t get liquid allulose but agree allulose generally for ice cream, huge difference in texture. I use a powdered one and it’s great
@@Solitude11-11 see if it might be in the natural food aisle at your grocery store that's where I found it for the first time.
@@thecarnivorecollective I’m in the UK 😊
I have made ice cream like this with my students for many years as a science experiment explaining thermodynamics. The kids love it. My students are preschoolers.
I saw a Wendy’s frosty video made in this style, In keto, love, & low carb. Love y’all’s antics & videos.
It looks GREAT. But having it in a container overnight in the freezer would help meld the flavors and intensify the texture, I think. Looks SUPERB. Also I use the DaVinci sugar free syrups and that would provide ultimate alternatives to the coffee flavor if you're not into coffee (I am, my wife isn't) and they have everything from fruits to nuts to spices as alternatives. What a GREAT idea, ladies! Can't wait to try this!
You should remove as much of the air from both bags. And try oven mitts or something to keep your hands from freezing.
With kids you can make a game of it and use 2 coffee cans. Or a coffee can and a bucket with a lid and have the kids roll it back and forth to each other. You might want to ducktape the lid on the coffee can to make sure it stays on.
I tried using kefir in my recipe for ice cream to keep the calories down from using only heavy cream. I drain the whey out of it with a coffee filter over a sieve overnight in the fridge. It makes it very thick. You can use this in place of one cup of cream and get some nutrients in as well. I also put six whole eggs in my ice cream. My sweetener is honey, 1/3 cup. Use your keto sweetener, of course.
Coffee ice cream is my fav. Must try with expresso! This is our old Girl Scout and Camping method. You ladies are hilarious!!! Love ya both. Have a stellar week.
I recently got a Ninja Creami. I put off getting one for a long time because you have to plan ahead. So I got a regular one. However, you have to plan ahead with that one also. And have to keep the thing in the freezer and have to chill the base overnight. I make Keto Chow ice cream in my Ninja and I am obsessed! Well worth the investment. I love your videos and look forward to them. I have adopted many of your recipes into my Keto life. 😁
I eat my ice cream with a tiny spoon too ❤
🎉I think I would put root beer flavoring so it would taste like a float.
I would mix some instant coffee with the heavy cream. I'm thinking since there's less water it'll be less icy. Generally, I've done this method a lot for vanilla and peanut butter ice cream, but I've never tried coffee. Gotta try my idea! 😋
How Emily cuts a pizza. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the Ice cream demo. Just what I need for this summer heat!
Oh my what a wonderful hack! Will definitely make this! Thanks ladies❤
You guys always inspire me out here in San Francisco! Thank you!
Thanks girls 😘 this looks delicious 😋!!! Definitely going on my weekend grocery list❤❤❤!!
Heading into the kitchen to make this NOW! :)
I just LOVE coffee ice cream. Thank you!
Thank you ladies for this new hack and I am going to try it.
I love your videos and it helps me to stay motivated. Thank you for the video. 😊
You two crack me up! I just love your videos! This looks tasty! Thanks for bringing me joy during such a difficult time. Love you both!🌺🌸
I’ve done this with my ore-schoolers! It is fun to make and tasty!
You two are hilarious! 😂I love watching your videos!
Love your videos, you gals are so great together. You are not only entertaining, your food is fantastic
I'm getting my Ninja Creami Deluxe on Saturday supposedly, I'm excited!! This recipe looks easy and fun though!
You girls make my day, every single time!! Love your content-always!!!
🤗❤️ thanks for always watching Leslie!!
We made this and added some "ratio PROTEIN" diary snack to the mixture. It's very sweet and not exactly KETO but adds body and flavor. Delicious shake if you don't want to freeze it.
Yum ice cream. I made some this morning slightly whipping hwc with allulose and vanilla and throwing it in the freezer. 🎉 I will try this next time 😊
Thank you for doing a video on this throwback technique. I had never tried it before. But I wanted some quick Ice cream. I used protein powder, 4 ounces of heavy cream, and 2 ounces of almond milk. Yummy!
This is fun to do when youre camping.⛺️ Always lots of ice on hand!
Another small spoon lover!
I like to use my old sterling silver baby spoon, or one of my grandmother’s little silver demitasse spoons. ❤
I used to do this with my sisters grandkids! It was fun and tasty. We only made vanilla. I recently ordered the White Chocolate Hazelnut Spread after watching your top 10 vid. Dangerously good! Thanks for all the inspiration 😎
So glad you love it! The white hazelnut spread is a favorite of mine, too 💞
I tried this ice cream long time but I used rock salt ice cream. It did not came out well and it took me more than 5 minutes. Glad to see it worked for you.
Great video thank you
I can't wait to try this icecream. And of course you guys never fail to crack me up. Especially at the end when you said you shared your mother as the vessel.😂 love ya guys.
Thanks for watching til the end Melody lol!
Love you two! :) Coffee Ice Cream looks great!
🤗🤗
I love your channel! TYSM!
I just discovered the Keto Twins and LOVE them❣️❣️ I’ve been low carb for about 2 years and find their videos so helpful and entertaining!! 💃🏻💃🏻
Awww thanks Lauren 🤗🤗
I've got to try this! 🍨 Emily you crack me up!💕
🙈🙈🤗🤗
Can't wait to make this!
I've had a Ninja kitchen system for years and make soft-serve type ice cream in a minute using frozen fruit and cream and sweetener. You could probably do coffee flavor by making coffee ice cubes.
Thank you!
Looks delish and perfect for those after a meal sweet cravings... maybe do a mug brownie/coke and throw the ice cream on top. Yum! And yes, the one batch seemed to be enough for two people to kill the craving.
Loved this video I'm gonna use the recipe on my channel when I make one haha and I'll give you gals the credit. thanks.
that hazelnut spread is the bomb I orderd some from your link. last month.
I use the Cremi daily. It's worth it! Treat yourself!
You guys are incredible! I despised keto previously because of the insufferable keto police online and in my life. My brother who did keto would weigh his cheese when cooking, it wasn't because of a recipe, it was to measure exactly the amount of protein he was allowed to have in a day. Yeah NO THANK YOU! After seeing your weightloss video I was so inspired, your genuine personalities and kindness is so appreciated. So I tried it for two weeks and wow I felt so good for the first time in years! Then I got scared and added back some carbs, but right away I was bloated and tired again. There's definitely something about keto that just works. It's undeniable. Thank you for your recipes and inspiration.
Yeah we aren’t for everyone that’s for sure but we are happy you found us!!
@@ketotwins Thank you so much for trying these recipes for all of us. Keeping a CZcams channel going is not easy. Today is day #1 back on keto, and already I feel better. Less heartburn and more energy. Can't wait to try more recipes. May God bless you two and your husband's and family.
Y’all are getting more creative with your videos. Love your expressions. 😂
Thanks Kathy 🤗🤗
I only tried to make Strawberry ice cream once. I used fresh strawberries. If I had it to do over again, I would have used dehydrated strawberries. I think the extra water from them being fresh strawberries added too much water, resulting in too many ice crystals once the ice cream compared to a pure heavy cream base. If you don't have an ice cream machine (I didn't at the time), it probably matters even more.
‘Open up your mind, open up your heart” lolol LOVE IT. You girls rocks ❤️
Rock. Lol
Agreed on the simplicity of the technique-no need for buying more sh*t if you only do it every once in a while, for sure. 😅
Heart and mind opened 😊
🤗🤗
The Creami is game changer. You've gotta get one
That was a great recipe. Love ice cream
Watching Emily try to cut the pizza… 😂😂😂😂
Hi Twins! ❤ that you can "technically" be eating Keto Ice-cream in 5min"ish". This technique reminds me of those camping Ice-cream balls you kick around. Keep an coming...
Blessings from Iowa, Lauri
Used to listen to that music?!?! Come on guys!! What else is there?!? Keep rocking out FOREVER 🤘🤘
Haha we started to listen to electronic music in our mid 20s,
I used to listen to Metallica and Soundgarden back in the day 😊... I'm navigating through the Keto world and I'm learning soooo much from you both... Thanks ✨
Rock on!
Put about a teaspoon or two of vodka in the ice cream when you mix it up. It will prevent crystals from forming and you won’t taste it!
Okay, totally EPIC!! I'll try it because I miss my ice cream!!! 😂
I might try this with coconut cream
My kids did this in elementary school. I think they also made butter using a zip-lock bag.
Did the ice cream this way in summer school. I made butter in a Mason jar with just heavy cream and salt. Best tasting butter. But butter I made with a hand blender if you don't feel like shaking a jar all day
The cut to Emily cutting the pizza 😂 you guys are great!
Love keto chow in the ninja creamy 😋
💖awesome. I did make some "ice cream"with frozen strawberries with cream in a blender. I did put a little sugar in. I'm wondering how pure monk sweetener would work. I haven't used it before...
the ninja creami is awesome! you can make different flavor batches and they are always frozen when you want them. Just keep rotating and making new ones when they are done and you never have to wait for them to be ready to eat.
I love chock zero products.
I’ve seen a couple keto channels say that you need an alcohol element to keep your ice cream from icing up. I’ve seen people use vodka, and also a vanilla flavoring with alcohol in it. I’m no expert but just thought I’d get your thoughts.😊❤
Yes we have heard that that works, others mentioned using allulose as the sweetener can do it too
Super great hack! Love it.
I was trying to count how many times you guys said hmmm.. hmmm.., like, I like it and I’m surprised I like it! Love you ladies! 😎❤️
Stay Cool!
Looks great! What is the White Tower behind you guys?
A hydroponic veggie system that we have not used in a while lol
Hey! Just watching and there was mention of being coffee fans... you must try coffee jelly! It's a Japanese treat, and I've made with stevia powder. Serve with cream with added sweetener or without. Sooooo good! Try!
We tried it a while ago in a video! It was really good! :)
Hey, what platform did you find the kitchentool guy?
I use my Creami to make ice cream, and I just use their basic recipe and sub out ingredients with low carb milk and allulose. I only have to run it through the Creami once, and it remains scoopable. Works great, and tastes great. (I think the protein powder versions are pretty awful. Tried KetoChow, etc. Just go for the almost-real deal.)
So cool!
You can also try low carb protein powder
(I use Atkins) and cream. If you want it like a custard. Use marscapone cheese and Whey Protein. Love from Australia ❤️ 🇦🇺
Yum!
@@ketotwins You can also add chopped up protein bars... for texture.
Everything old is new!
The very old fashioned way to make ice cream was cream, fruit (or whatever) & sugar in a small metal bowl, you took a large wooden bowl & put the ice and salt in it, set the metal bowl on the ice and stir it around! They didn’t have plastic bags in the 1700 and 1800’s ! I’ve done this and tasted the delicious, creamy often peach ice cream made at August old time festivals- it’s delicious!
This is basically the plastic bag version. Your hands get cold but it’s a little faster
Just go to Joe Duff the diet chefs Channel and get his ice cream recipe that he makes in a mason jar. It's very simple. You just shake the Mason jar with the ingredients in it for three minutes; put it in the ,❤ it's done. It's delicious.
What an easy hack!
I don't have one either girls and I had an major fail on my dash mini only used it once.
here is my "ice cream " recipe...I can coconut cream, I canful of coconut or almond milk, pinch of salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup brown swerve. put in blender, pour into container of choice a freeze for about 1 1/2 hours, stir= "ice cream" YUMMY!
I've seen a silicone cup that you freeze and pour whatever liquid into to make slushies or whatever. I'm sure using one of those would be easier and less wasteful to make this ice cream. You do have to be prepared, though! 😂 no reason you can't just keep it in the freezer between uses, though, so it's always ready to go!
I have an ice cream maker just like that. It's from the mid 80's. You freeze the inner part, put in paddles that has a crank on top and pour in the ingredients. Works like a charm, altho, your arm does get tired, it's quiet!
I've wondered about your coffee and how you ladies make it. Like do you add different fats to it? Are you ladies still doing OMAD? I think I remember Emily saying she felt better when she was doing OMAD. I actually do it some days and it's really not that hard for me when I drink a lot of water and coffee and then have a larger meal around 5. By the way, what do y'all use to make your skin look so flawless!? And love the lipstick shades on both of you.
😆😆 Funny vid this week, very enjoyable...
