Thanks for watching. This Poulan Pro Pole saw, has a stuck engine, but before I fix it, we need to clean it.
The "whirring" sound from that water pump really caught the attention of my dogs!
lol.. I didn't think that would happen but that goes to show just how well, they can hear.
I've always liked watching these videos, and it paid off! I'm the first person done with my project in my small engine class! By a good margin too lol
Nice! Is it just a general shop class, or specifically small engine?
nice work!
@cheerfullpizza it's specifically a small engines. It's a one semester class, but I have half a quarter left where I don't know what to do! I can't exactly mow the grass this time of the year lol
@@therandomman6647wanna fix an oil leak on my craftsman snowblower with a Briggs on it? Lol
@@Matthew_Does_To_Many_Things if you're in the Eau Claire area, sure!
Full strength cleaner does the job very well.
you are correct.
Really satisfying to watch. See you on the fix video
thank you Sir.
Love your videos. I always try to keep my chainsaws or any small engine clean as i can. Make it's easier to work on and if it's leaking fuel or oil it makes it easier to see where it's leaking from
Great point! thank you James Hedrick, I appreciate you.
I use a dish washing brush. great combo or stiffness and flexibility.
Great tip!
Very cool video. I like the new format and content. Enjoyable to watch
Awesome, thank you!
looking forward to the fix it video!
thank you Skip C.
Looking forward to the next video.
it's a whopper, I end up doing a "no no" and pay for it dearly.
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE That's hilarious. I won't spoil what actually happens afterward. We know, though.
I was just dropped of 2 Stihl HT75 pole saws for repairs.
nice! those are great!
good job cant wait 4 the next one!
thank you TECHNODREAM
Hey bro what's up? This will be an interesting repair video bro. This cleaning video was very satisfying bro. I enjoyed it a lot. That pruner / pole saw was very dirty bro especially where the saw part was bro.
yes you are correct, and that video is already up.
Looks lovely after a good cleaning and i reckon water may have gotten into the cylinder but luckily not hard to fix by soaking that one with a bit of a torch on the cylinder block along with someone WD.40.
you are correct the fix is fine, however I make a mistake that almost ruined everything
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGEstrewth a optional way is carefully removing the cylinder block etc.
Looks like new again👍🙏👍🙏
yes it does, thanks!
I'm with you about the surprise factor but everything is somewhat of a surprise as you can bet heavily that someone or three have been there before you and you might as well start at square one. BLESSINGS!
thank you Lewie McNeely!
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE U 2, Pal!
I would definitely wear gloves with the heavy degreaser since it's caustic.
you are correct, the feeling on my hands, is soapy, which is not good.
Best to clean before doing "surgery" to find what is wrong.
ah well said.
I saw the plug and thought "uh oh" .
I know right, it's gets much worse once I take the cap, off the back of the engine. video coming soon.
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE Hope it's save-able. It's that time of year where they get harder to sell though
true, but this one is not mine so no issue here.
@INSIDE HOUSE GARAGE LOL. I am sure you wouldn't let yours get that way. When I buy them to flip and see a plug like that, I offer $5 and tell them it's probably a parts machine. 🙂
done.
thanks
That is a dirty machine that you are going to clean up 😉
You got that right!
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE hopefully you can get it fixed and running again 👍😎
This saw looks just like a 2008- to like 2011 weed eater brand, it has the same design
you're correct.
great video as always friend congratulations. what machine are you using to wash?
thanks, I'm using a magnum x7 airless paint sprayer, using hot water.
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE I understand, you no longer use your gas washer?
oh I use it, only on larger projects.
@@INSIDEHOUSEGARAGE ok thanks for reply
My weed eater 20 push mower starts just fine but when it's running, it revs up and down and I've already checked the carburetor and it works but I don't know why it's revving up and down
Can you help me please
on yours, I would consider replacing the diaphragm.
I checked and it was fine but now it won't run anymore because the crank shaft is bent😥
Wow that spark plug did not look good at all. Almost looks like water was in side the cylinder.
you are correct, it was still a bit wet and dirty, so a tear down, and cleaning are required.
