    I feel like my brain would break playing this, as watching it nearly breaks it. Very very cool game, but holy shit, man. Kudos to the devs for keeping it all together, I would get so lost trying to make these puzzles.

      Haha, every time I play a game with a strange take on how space works I always wonder how anyone can programme it without constantly just getting confused

    I wanna play this now, I know it would make my jaw drop. Great editing too, very well-timed :))

      Thank you! 'Well timed' is about as far as my editting skills go haha, I can't do anything fancy but I will put relevant footage on the screen...

    You have a way of making me very curious and enthusiastic to try the games you talk about. Always a pleasure ❤️

    Nice video. When I tried this back upon release I was blown away by how simplistic the game made such a difficult concept. It definitely runs with it too. I played it on stream last week and while I had lots of head scratcher moments, I was pleasantly surprised by all the progress I was making. I think it's a nice middle ground of a puzzler and I'd highly recommend it as well 😀

      Yeah that's definitely what this game does well, complex ideas but in puzzles with 2D boxes where you can see all of your options quite easily. Great little game

    The final main levels are certainly where the game truly gets its namesake, but by that point I still felt that the game didn't go as far as it could have with it's concepts. Obviously the challenge level were nice and gave us more combinations of gameplay elements to work with, but I just kept feeling like there was one more mind blowing thing it was building up to the whole time that it never quite reached. Seeing the small collection of rule breaking bonus puzzles was like a taste of a whole new possibility space. Regardless, I agree it was excellent fun.

      Yeah the final levels I thought were great thematically, although as puzzles they weren't necessarily as good as some of the ideas from earlier stages

    that ending was cute HEHE hi willmot

      Wilmot's Warehouse was the first thing I thought when I played the demo for this game. Who'd have thought you'd get two game titles where it's just a square that owns something.

  • @Dorkaxe
    @Dorkaxe Před 2 lety +1

    Woah was that ending a part of the game? Otherwise how did you do the wilmot thing with the boxes??

    • @Table53
      @Table53 Před 2 lety +1

      It's not the ending (I probably wouldn't have shown that in the video) but it was an option tucked away in some sort of menu just like in Wilmot!

    Did you play Recursed? Great game that was relased a while ago and flew under the radar of most puzzle games fans.

      @Table53 Před 2 lety

      Yes! Years ago, it nearly got a mention in this video too. I remember it being really interesting but also a bit janky haha, but that would have been ~4/5 years ago so I could be wrong

      @@Table53 Recursed is my all time puzzle platformer and the platforming takes a back seat in that game but the game can get really tricky and one of the DLCs was too hard to finish for me. I don't know why they stopped making good puzzle platformers...I guess people were fed up with them. I would take a look at Recursed if I was you...just a suggestion. I found Snowman a really boring game and I don't know why everyone liked that game, it is casual so that would be the logical explanation. Sokoban games are the hot stuff in a niche genre.If you like sokoban games I can recommend Lighton series, looks basic but can get really tricky on last 20 levels. Non sokoban recommandations- Tricone Lab, Circuit Dude,Warlocks Tower, Reflection of Mine,Qubik, Achromatic and last but a really good game The Cat Machine- came out before Cosmic Express so if you covered that game you will mos def like that one. I know what you are thinking- Dude start your own channel :))))) Cheers mate. BTW the games I listed are all buried gems that had less then 30 reviews but really good games,

    • @Table53
      @Table53 Před 2 lety

      @@RejectAllCookies13 I think Snowman is such an elegant design! There are lots of little interactions that work together to make puzzles and yet they're all so tangible and fit within the theme perfectly. Things like picking snow up off the floor, considering the ground itself isn't usually an idea in sokoban games but in Snowman it is and makes so much thematic sense. It may not be an insanely difficult game, but I don't always want puzzles to be like that.
      Lighton actually does look pretty good, I will probably try that out!

    for a review maybe show less solutions? :P its already quite a short game haha

    • @Table53
      @Table53 Před 2 lety +1

      It's one of those tricky things, because most of the footage that isn't solutions is me just standing still while I think about what to do which isn't very interesting! Ultimately I just bank on people not remembering solutions to a dozen randomly spread out puzzles haha
