I literally screamed "God dammit" when you pointed out the Palico naming scheme. 11 YEARS OF PLAYING AND I NEVER PUT THAT TOGETHER!
Don't worry, a few years ago it finally clicked to me that laptops are desk tops for your lap
I was fortunate enough to visit Mh bar back in February. They had a promotion where if you clear the event quest for two rajang in rise you could get like a 5% discount on your order or something like that. Hopefully I can go back some day. Here’s to 20 more years of MH. Happy hunting!
im so jealous, mainfesting visualising praying rn for that to be me one day
You'd think that by now people would know that the reason you already know where the monster is in Rise is because of your Cohoot.
I know that's why you send them out at the start of a hunt, I personally just think it's more fun to find the monster yourself! Adds more to the hunt
There is just no way this video only has 200+ views. Great work! Hopefully this gets some traction at some point.
It's insane when I think I've been playing this game for almost half my life, and I'm 42. I vividly remember every title, man was it ROUGH back in the day. Solo hunts were a pain, all the clunky movement, the archaic mechanics (I don't want to carry 5 cookbooks just so I don't craft literal trash when trying to make potions) and very, very, very little info online about the games as a whole. I had to learn better strategy from this Italian guy I met on a forum on mocospace on my phone lmao. Rathalos_Hunter you're the real MVP, hope that guy is still killing it years later. Man I had some good times, still do, but I have so many fond memories of the old ones. Still have all my copies, the art books, figures, pins, and the crowing jewel an officially licensed jar of Deviljho pickles lol. Can't wait for Wilds!
Me carrying 5 encyclopedia Britannica volumes on my back so I can make a tasty beverage
I kinda love how extra the old monster hunter's were, though I understand the changes and welcome them. I do miss old crafting a bit tho still..
What a well researched video essay
Great doco, I really enjoyed this.
I played World when it came out, but lately, I've been getting real into the series, starting with the PS2 original. Having a ton of fun :)
Edit: Woah, this is your first full-length video? Even more impressive!
AAAAAA thank you!! I'm a little proud that people are impressed this is my first ever video so thank you for the praise!
Holy moly, I thought this video would have like 1 mil views at least due to how good it is.
oh gosh thank you! i hope it blows up like that one day.. for now i work on the next video!
this slaps!! i was so surprised when i saw this is the first proper video on the channel, its produced so well that i assumed it was from one of those long-running monhun channels like arekkz or gaijin o.O
well when it becomes a long-running channel ill be there to brag about being one of the original 50 subs hehe
Oh my gosh thank youuuu!
Ehehehe, I love all the early support and recognition of the effort and all
This video is INSANELY GOOD it NEEDS more views, im definitely sharing with my friends. Outstanding work!
Dude I'm impressed how they manage to get this maps and use them UNTIL GENERATIONS Ultimate (2016) almost without modifications
It's kinda interesting how the series staying portable for so long meant that for the longest time, graphical fidelity was mostly the same between titles. Hence allowing them to just tweak old maps a little and port them to at the time future titles
Beautiful video. Can't imagine the amount of work that went into this. I just discovered monster hunter with world and have since played a little of almost every older tittle. I'm an older gamer and monster hunter wasn't even part of my gaming infancy so to speak, but there is something so captivating about this franchise. And what's crazy is, no matter how good the games are, I still have the feeling that so much more could be done with the world and ideas of the series if it is managed well by Capcom. Let's hope six is a banger!
I believe it will be! They seem to always learn from the prior game so everything just gets better and better!
Awesome video! learned a lot of details about Monster Hunter I never knew existed! Might rewatch/relisten for stuff i may have missed! Keep up the great work!
Glad you enjoyed! I'm so glad I could tell you stuff you never knew before!
I'm not even gonna lie, this vid was so good, I'm reinstalling MHW now that I'm finished lmao
Wonderful Video!! I haven’t played much MH but this video has inspired me to give the new game a try when it comes around! Phenomenal work!
Wilds is looking to possibly be the best yet! Unless you're a classic only kinda person
Commenting cause this video definitely needs the boost. Keep up the good work!
great video ! you have a nice voice and speaking style throughout. My 3U experience suffered a similar fate too when my older brother lost my cartridge 🥲
Thank you so much! I'm sorry about your 3U run.. maybe one day they'll bring back swimming so we can get ceadeaus and Dire miralis back
only 33 subs at the time im watching this which is crazy with this quality content
make that 34 subs now
The cute girl in the thumbnail got me... I'll be staying for Monster Hunter.
i don't get why they keeps calling Rise a spin off, i'm pretty sure the portable games are still mainline games.
Its because it takes after generation's in design philosophy, introducing mechanics that will absolutely not be added in future mainline games. It's not being compared to freedom unite or portable 3rd, rise is being compared to generation's and generation's ultimate!
I want to see King Cerberus in a MH Wilds colab like Behemoth, just dreams but dreamSSS
If wilds is anything like world, I'm sure we can expect another FF collab!
Monster Hunter is overrated. It's just boss rush Dark Souls
Apples and oranges, you don't farm specific bosses for parts in souls games 😂
Fun fact: the monster hunter logo actually features a Rathian not a Rathalos, as Rathian was the first monster ever designed for the series!
Holy shit you're right. Omg if I just stared at it a lil longer I'd see the chin spike too yjsjjtjsjtjd thank you for this comment
@@AlbaAlbtross no worries! I just found out in the 20th anniversary dev interview last week!
@@Cobalt_11hgjdjgjdjhf LOL i didn't get to watch it cos it was happening while I was at work and I've yet to get around to it. I'll have to peep it soon and see what other juicy deets there are
@@AlbaAlbtross you'll definitely enjoy it If you're already able to talk about monster hunter for 2.5 hrs LOL. It'll be a treat for you
