Thanks to your tips. We just crossed Zojila from Srinagar to Kargil on 12th May on motorcycle. Situation was quite bad as it was snowing and raining. Riders should be ready for snow and rain.

Sunny days weather is pleasant now a days and nights are cooler in Leh but still cold at the lakes. Passes due to wind chill it will be cold, Manali Leh mostly will be cold till June middle. yes bikes are permitted in October but it gets cold for a ride in case you do not go prepared with required clothing or dont have experience with cold weather ride.
If we rent bike from manali, i understand that we have to rent another biken for outskirts, let say tso morir or hanle or turtuk or pangong, but can we roam and do sightseeing in leh on a rented bike from manali?
And can we also go from leh to kargil on a manali rented bike?
Usually you can roam around Leh, not much issues as you can always say you are looking for your hotel. You can also travel from Leh to Kargil or Srinagar or Zanskar or Manali. There is no restrictions on traveling on the highways.
I'm planning to fly solo to Leh, but I'd love to do a bike trip around the area. Can you recommend a travel agency in Leh for this? Biking solo might be a bit risky, so I think it would be better with a travel agency or a group.

The following are some of the standard rates of some common bike riding accessories per day. If you are not carrying any bike riding accessories with you on the Leh Ladakh trip, you do not need to worry about it as these bike accessories are easily available in Leh.
Two Ment Tent = Rs 700-800
Sleeping Bag = Rs 300-500
Sleeping Mattress = Rs 250-400
Riding Jacket = Rs 400-500
Knee / Elbow Guard = Rs 300-400
Riding Gloves = Rs 200-300

Day 13- Day trip to Umling La Pass
Day 14- Hanle - Tso Moriri
Day 15- Tso Moriri - Sarchu
Day 16- Sarchu - Manali
Day 17- Manali - Delhi
I have already booked a himalayan bs6 2 months ago , and the bike rental shop agreed to give it for 1500 per day as I'll be taking it for 10-12 days , is there a possibility that he can revise the total amount according to this new rental policy
I doubt that they will revise it as deal was agreed.. rest all depends on the rental guy but kost likely shall be ok

Yes if by that time the Manali Leh do not allow bikes between Sarchu and Jispa you can arrange a pick up.. but i think in next week or so all will be allowed

Yes you can make a day trip to Pangong from Leh but it will be like a 12 hr ride, so long day. You need to pay environment fee online to visit these places and carry receipt of the payment. I doubt that, you need to talk to the bike rental operator if they are comfortable with it. Some do and some don't like I said in the video.

We are planning to visit ladakh by this month last week
Are Manali to leh Highway route opened or closed
Because shopkeepers of bike rentals are saying that you cannot visit via manali to leh highway on last week of this week
As of now it is not open for tourists. It will take sometime, not sure may be 1-2 weeks all depends on weather conditions in coming weeks.

It indeed is possible to rent a bike from Manali or Srinagar to make a one-way trip. However, the one bike rentals are very costly, and you will need to pay somewhere from 12000-15000 just for the pick up of the bike from Leh. If you drop it to the circuit end like Manali or Srinagar, then the prices for pick up of the bike may range about 15000.
Hence, unless you cannot live without the bike on Srinagar Leh Highway or Manali Leh Highway, there is no point in spending that much money in the rental bike pickup. In such cases, you should reach Leh and get the bike on rent from Leh based bike rental shops.
