  • The Disney Cruise Line shuttle bus from Walt Disney World or Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral makes things easy. It really does.
    Planning for a first timers' cruise, including a Disney cruise, is not hard; yet it can be overwhelming.
    Take something as simple as how to get to the cruise port.
    What is the best way from Disney World or Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral for a Disney Cruise Line adults or seniors regardless if it is your first time or 10th.
    We went as first timers on a Disney Cruise Line cruise in 2023 and could not find any CZcams video explaining the experience using Disney Cruise Line bus transportation from Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral. So, here was our experience.
    This is our POV video for you on our first hand experience how the Disney Cruise Line bus transportation, what we call the Disney Cruise Line shuttle, works from Walt Disney World to Disney Cruise Line's terminal at Port Canaveral. You'll see what we, Disney Cruise Line adults and Disney Cruise Line seniors went through step by step, from the night before all the way to us hearing our names as we boarded the Disney WISH! Join us, sit right beside us! Come along for the ride (get it? for the 'ride' ;) ).
    And if you are curious what the Sail-A-Wave (what we call the Sail Away) party is, here are the highlights of ours aboard the Disney WISH:

    This was very helpful, I'm planning on going with my mom next month. This is my second time staying on Resort and doing the Disney Cruise. I've known about getting the shuttle from the Airport to our Disney accommodations and it will be my first time going to the parks but I didn't know the process of getting a shuttle to the port so thank for the informative video.

    Super helpful and reassuring. Thanks for sharing this video. Taking a Disney Cruise next year and was nervous about the transportation from the Disney World hotels and didn't quite understand how it works. But your video was super helpful 😊

    Hi! Was it really 90 min for the bus ride or shorter? Also is there an elevator by the escalators for wheelchair users?

    • @NanDanTravel
      @NanDanTravel  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi Jonelle,
      For us, it was 90 mi it’s from the Grand Floridian is was about 90 minutes because we stopped at Poly to pick up other cruisers; from Poly is was just over an hour.
      Elevator? We weren’t looking for one so I cannot say we saw one. Yet, it’s Disney …. never had an issue with my daughter using her wheelchair in the parks or at the resort. And, 15 years ago she went with us on a DCL cruise (the Wonder I think) from Port Canaveral and had no issues boards there would have to have been an elevator there or I would remember my being upset … which I wasn’t.
      Hope that helps!

      Hi 👋 Jonelle, I just rewatched our video and at the 7:20 mark where Nancy and I cleared the checkin, just as we were about to step on the escalator to go up to the waiting area there was an elevator on the right …. It’s pretty quick but it is there.

    Question: which boarding group did you have?

    • @NanDanTravel
      @NanDanTravel  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi 👋 Mrs ☺️ We got Boarding Group …. wait for it ….. 2!! Others will disagree yet the DCL person on site we spoke with told us she’s always seen GF and Poly guests BG 2 …. and we had no DCL status …. so now we ALWAYS make a point to stay at least the night before at a WDW DVC resort as we plan to continue to take the DCL bus (so convenient and for the price it’s all great) to Port Canaveral
      Hope you and your family have a great 👍 cruise 🚢

    How much for the bus? How much to park your car at the hotel?

    • @NanDanTravel
      @NanDanTravel  Před 5 měsíci

      Can’t park car at a WDW Disney hotel as far as I know …. The DCL shuttle bus cost each of us us $39 each way in f you have your own car I’d recommend staying the night before at one of the several hotels at Port Canaveral area the night before then using one of the parking options at the port or just off the port …. since we’ve not personally done that I can’t recommend any for you more that what a quick Google search would provide

      The reason I asked was that I was intrigued about not dealing with luggage at the port. We live in Florida and generally stay ay the Hilton Lake Buena Vista the night before, walk over the bridge and have dinner at Disney Springs and then drive to the Port the next morning. It is 63 miles and it usually takes us 1 hour and 10 minutes @@NanDanTravel
