I definitely agree with the point that it's not just the Goku show anymore. Vegeta catching up was LONG overdue. And seeing other characters be relevant again is nice too, even if you don't expect them to be as strong as Goku and Vegeta.
Super has done so much for modern dragon ball by expanding the lore and adding so many unique and interesting characters. There’s a reason why it’s still ongoing and massively successful compared to GT which ended decades ago.
I seen the original Dragon Ball multiple times. That's the problem with GT. It tries to be Dragon Ball and DBZ. Which made a crappier product than both of those. Rehashing ideas always create a worse product.

The series peaked with the savageness of the History of Future trunks but we go back to it because we love it. I haven't even watched super yet the movies were enough for me. But like I said seeing it and growing up with it when we had to only consume an EP a day or sometimes I week you get a different feel and nostalgia for it.
@NothingOsaka Sometimes I get tired of the games retelling the same story over and over. I actually liked Budokai 2 because the story was different. Nostalgia gets a lot of people. I used to be like that. Try going back to watch GT now. I remember enjoying GT when I was a kid. I tried watching it again as an adult and couldn't get pass the first episode.
@@Dolvey Super was unwatchable. The first 2 arcs just stretch stories that are better paced in the movies. Every arc after the first two are just straight up plagiarized fan fiction stories that were written way better in said fan fiction. The animation is awful all the way through the 4th arc, and all the best and most original stories are stuck being Manga only. GT is GOLD next to Super.

I am convinced the people that don't like GT never grew up with the Original DB and just like Z. GT was the bridge that connected it all back again.
