You Don't LOL! You take a random guess and strum! When checking the notes, the ones with the black notes are pointing upwards while the white ones are pointing down, If you seen or have the actual guitar controller the frets have the color coordination that match up to the guitar highway in game.

Yo how did you get to play when I start the game I gotta fucking sync the guitar with the usb and the guitar doesn't make the red thing on the top it just blinks instead of connecting it doesn't make the red blink on the top
You have to hold the usb button so it will blink a blue light then hit the guitar button it will flash red and show a comnection of either 1 or 2nd controller
From my understanding for this game - unlike the others, you need to get the guitar to play - granted though it might have been changed and of course this game is not worth it anymore - they removed their live service/GHTV mode back in 2019 I believe
You can play on console PS4/Xbox One but you can not play with the console controller (if that is what you are referring to) - I highly recommend not getting this game - It is no longer playable.

PS4 has its own Share Button on the controller, hold it down to enter the Share Menu and you will get the Broadcast option to livestream on the ps4- if it doesn't work with holding down the Share button then double tap it.

Yea, the only thing I really hate was that there is no DLC for GHLive...but oh well...Maybe they will remake GH and bring back the old controller

who knows... but they may have patched it but I know on the GHTV side you can customize and change the theme and colors of the buttons.

GHTV has a mix of new and the old guitar songs but the entire game is leaning more to the latest songs for 80% of the songlist
