I love how much I notice people's faces/movements when shooting photography, as opposed to when I am just going through the day stuck in my head. It's like a veil is removed and I am more conscious of everyone's space and how I move around in it. We are all out here just trying to quiet some of that head noise! Love this dude.
I totally agree, shooting allows me to feel completely present. My anxiety gets me caught in a “what if” loop and I am constantly future tripping. With my camera in hand I am able to re-center, and the present moment gains focus.
Looking back at a photo that I took is what makes it special for me. Reminds me of the random times me and my siblings would look through our box of family photos
amen brother. a story that's not told enough, I've gone through an extremely similar situation of putting down my camera during times when anxiety and depression were crippling. only to find that picking it back up is the thing that makes it so I can keep trudging on. mental health and the creative act are intertwined far more than we even realize. I find now, that going out to shoot even when I don't feel quite right, is always the best thing to do... it's a daily battle!

Sorry you had all that trouble man, in a way I know what that’s like. I’m glad that photography helped you out a lot. It shows how therapeutic and relaxing it is, it doesn’t matter what the photography is about, just that it’s taking you away from your current feelings and giving you something else to focus on (no pun intended) This was an awesome video mate! Btw I thought you was a one man band with these videos, didn’t know you had a cameraman now. He new? 😂
