I live in Canada, and I've been friends with, and worked with, dozens of Filipinos over the years, and I've always been impressed by what amazing people every single one of them has been. I always say I've never met anyone from the Philippines (or from Cuba) who I didn't like. But ever since discovering Sohyang, I've seen countless unnecessary, petty, nasty comments from Filipino nationalists insulting her, her voice, and her fans, because they can't handle the fact that another female singer in Asia's getting attention they seem to think only singers from their country deserve. I know they aren't real music fans, and most of them probably never even bothered listening to Sohyang to find out that she really IS as great as people say she is, and I know they don't reflect the values or opinions of most Filipinos, but it still reflects badly on the country and its people, and it's really annoying when they show up and start up with that crap.
@@satomiwa I agree. I actually live in a predominantly Filipino immigrant area in the US and they are some of the most kind, warm and friendly people I have ever met. I know the haters are a small group of trolls and not the community as a whole. I just hate to see the negativity and obvious attempts to get a rise out of people. The amazing singers from the Philippines deserve a better representation. But I do see kind and wonderful comments as well so I guess I should just tune out the bad and focus on the good. But it does get tiresome when they come to every video just to spew hate.

Level Up, indeed. This is a full professional music video that can easily keep up with any star production and is a perfect example that you don’t need a hundred different locations and set ups to make a cool video. Despite a small budget and restricting circumstances but with creativity and passion you have managed to produce a BEAUTIFUL music video. The set up, the lightning, the decent use of cuts, the careful camerawork, everything well balanced, makes this a coherent piece of visual art.
And like a dream comes true, with this video you have materialized a vision that spooks in my head for decades now. It needed 4 angels to make it happen. Thank you..
Oh did I forget to talk about the music? I grew up with this song, so I came up with some expectations, despite I’m not all the way happy with the arrangement this time, this is certainly one of the most interesting covers I’ve ever heard of this song. And I definitely Love, Love the soulful gospely twist to the song. The harmonies, especially when they lay head to head on the floor are incredibly good. Will be one of my favorites..

I've watched this dozens of times and still haven't clearly seen the video. I struggle through Irene's beautiful opening, but when Celina starts singing it sounds so angelic I can't stop the tears. It moves me so much, I don't know if I will ever be able to see Almira and Mylene without the blur of tears. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

Sohyang's rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is one of the most difficult song to sing. I want to give an applause to these ladies for not only attempting to sing this song, but also manage to sing beautifully.

We have other filipino singers who can sing this song too, but I have to say 4th impact version is really heavenly, their blending is amazing. Any Sohyang songs is easily tackled by our Filipino belters just stating a fact, we have 4 and 5 octave singers that can even slay Mariah Carey songs. Im a fan of 4th impact the best girl group for me.

It's been called the modern day equivalent of Amazing Grace. A song penned during the tumultuous times of the Vietnam war.
