  • 1995 Infiniti Q45
    The Q45 came with a 278 HP 4.5L DOHC V8 which was paired to a 4 speed auto
    Spiffy looking interior of high quality tho some things could've been better tho. The note of the engine paired to the exhaust sounded fantastic when sitting within the car. Didnt like the sound of the starter nor the sound of the engine when it was cold (MAy of needed an oil change) but it idled more smoothly once it warmed up.

    I've owned both the LS and first-generation Q45 years ago. I ditched the 1998 LS400 after a few months; it was an outstanding car built to a high standard but lacked character and verve. The 90-96 Q45s were engineering marvels that truly rewarded the driver. The LS400 was more about passenger comfort and refinement.
    Lexus went after traditional Lincoln and Cadillac buyers. Infiniti pursued BMW. It certainly showed in how differently the LS and Q drive.

      I agree. The 90-93 Qs were the best IMO. Such an enjoyable car to drive. A true 4 door luxury sports car.

    Back is "bland looking"???...I totally disagree..I think cars designed before 2000 were simpler (in a very good way) and more humble. These days, cars look too overdone with all the curves and bumps and tons of plastic parts. I must say that I enjoyed this review..The kid went into clear detail with everything.

    I forgot just how great the interior quality was on these cars, it appears nicer than a contemporary LS400 and is probably the nicest Nissan product we've ever gotten here.

  • @CGJ7755
    @CGJ7755 Před 11 lety +1

    Remember 90-95 Q45s actually were understated for HP.... there was a gentleman's agreement with lexus/acura/infiniti (the parent companies) that since there was a major tax and penalty on any japenese export that had over 280 hp, they *officially* had 278, however the engines dynoed at around 310 hp or more. The 1st generation Q was an absolute beat, 96 OBDII and the loss of variable valve timing caused the Q45 to become far more sedated and at that point less desirable.

    @1bentley4ever the Q45 was Forgotten literally lol...you can tell by how few you see around,they're just rare,none of the Early Infiniti's are that commonly seen...and yes the 1990-1994 Version does look like a big Taurus the Lexus LS was good looking from the strart..and i believe the reasoning behind the taurus like styling of the first Q was the fact it was a popular automobile at the time,the 1995 Redesign definetly looks good...but it didn't do enough for sales.

    definitely better looking than the 1990-1993 models, but I'd go for the 2nd gen (1997-2001). All generations are pretty rare, as the sales weren't too good, especially since they dropped it after 2006 :( I heard the 3rd gen (2002-2006) wasn't that good though in terms of reliability.

    @1bentley4ever the J30 was the only Early infiniti that i'd consider a Real standout....the G20 was too closely related to the Sentra,QX-4 too much like a pathfinder and the Infiniti I was a thinly rebadged maxima...the Q45 was an ok car...bland as egg whites but nice to me.

    I'm confused...is the person in the video selling this car? or somebody just checking it out? QUite frankly, the purpose of the video is pointless since it's just a video trashing the car. Excellent way to sell something. And if not selling, why waste energy on a video of something you don't like?
    ANyway, while I'll agree it's seats are hard and exterior design leaves something left to be desired..it was one of the best manufactured cars of the 90's that will run forever.
