I wish it had been more like look at yourself. It had a couple tracks that coulda been on look at yourself but there were a lot of the problems that plagued the early albums, too much nu metal worship... It'd be rad if baby J came back and wrote a ton of stuff now that we see what he's capable of with Darko

But he means that all the songs on the album are like 1-2 minutes. It's just a very short album in general, being 31 minutes 29 seconds total. Then it's just all over so quickly, the instrumentals and everything is over in just a minute or two. Let's get a 4-6 minute song that just slays, showing off Josh's incredible work, etc.
for the style of music they're playing a 30 minute record is plenty of time
put it on repeat. ive listened to this album like 3 times a day!
I feel that for most bands, but it just works for Emmure imo, always has
just giving my 2 cents, i was a little disappointed with the album. when i heard russian hotel aftermath (which was the first new song i had heard) i thought, "holy shit, emmure is back on the fucking map" especially with travis at the helm, he really put some punch back into them, like from "speaker of the dead".
anyway, i was hoping that with miller and travis in the band now, things would be different, and riff wise, they were, but the short times on the songs just dont do it for me. and i know its just classic emmure, but "derelict", which is one of my favorite songs off the album, had the potential to be so much more, but didnt. it just stayed barely over a minute long. the album was great, but could've been longer. my top songs are derelict, russian hotel aftermath, flag of the beast, and smokey. just take a little more time on the songs next time
