Amazing Day Ticket Lake - Whelford Pools - 30 Years apart - Carp Fishing

- Mike goes back to his roots and visits a small, intimate, day ticket carp fishery called Whelford Pools. This was a lake that Mike cut his teeth on and learnt his early carp fishing craft. Time moves on, but it was great to go back for a day in January to try and catch a carp from a lake he's not wet a line for the best part of 30 years. Luck was certainly on his side that day! Winter Carp Fishing at it's BEST.

Yes great memories and I loved that video back in it's day, he kept foul hooking them on float fished tigers lol

What a result....awesome! looks like there's some good fish in there, going by the pictures. Well i meant to be going fishing today, but not been able to sleep. Like a kid at Christmas...and now im knackered and just want to go bed 😂😂 great vids can't wait for next one!

I was fishing there 30 yrs ago we had some laughs do yo remember a guy called fosters he was a local great bloke we would travel down from Midlands ounce a month eventually moved on to millstone next door good times

@BaitworksTV had some lovely carp out of milstone upto mid 30 nice water and yes real shame but Welford was ace fish weren't as big back then think I had a mid 20 mirror but were some lovely originals In there typical scaly looked like horseshoe fish

Hi Gareth, in this video mate? Those were rather beefy for the situation but it's what I had set up at home already. They were my harrison torrix 13 foot 3.5tc rods mate built by Cotswold Rods. To be fair I'd have much rather been using my ESP quick draw rods but they were all rigged up and ready for france. All the best
