  • Action from the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society Transport Day
which was held in early November 2018 on a mostly overcast day with rain in the afternoon.
Many visiting buses and some from their collection ran trips to Lincoln and the surrounding areas and there were also opportunities to take a trip in one of the cars from the Lincolnshire Transport Museum's own collection. The museum itself was also open with a display of transport artefacts and a chance to see the workshop with current restoration projects such as the 1935 Trent Motor Traction SOS.
The film shows many of the buses and cars departing from the museum on trips as well as near Lincoln Railway Station. The action comes thick and fast with frequent departures from the museum.
There is a brief look inside the museum which is well worth a visit as well as the buses on display at Lindum. Thanks to all the volunteers and organisers for a most enjoyable day and to all the bus owners for bringing their vehicles for us to see and ride on.

Hi! I own OVL471 I’m curious if you would have any old photos of it or have any connections that might?

I don't have any photos myself I'm afraid. Have you tried the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society? They may well have an archive of photographs or there may be a forum/message board where could post this. Their e mail address is lvvs1959@gmail.com. Good luck with your quest.

I couldn't take my eyes off that white National in the background.

James, it was used as the bus service control point for the day. it's owned by a member of the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society and a photo can be seen here www.lvvs.org.uk/images/tf041118/041118-07.jpg.

Graham Sleath thanks for that. Reminds me abit of one of these Aussie assembled 10.9m versions for a long defunct independent called Metro West in Sydney that I remember as a kid in the 80s.
