Yes, indeed. I got my drivers license back in 1966 on a 64 Olds 98 LS.
That was such a sweet ride. My father later sold it in 1972 for another 98.
As a former 77 Delta 88 owner I know exactly what you mean. That was my first car.

Drive it to work during the week, & then drive it to the local car get togethers and vintage car swap meets on the weekends.
For me personally? This would be my daily driver without a doubt.
PS.. And for those of you who've never driven one? They ride and drive like a dream. 👍

Had a '78. What struck me is those floor spacers under the mat in the trunk covering the pit created by the fenders. I don't think I've ever seen those before. I bet those disappeared quickly on most cars. They look like cardboard, so the first water leak and they were probably done.

Obviously garaged kept back when you got interiors that coordinated with the exterior & just not gray like they have been doing since the 90s

I liked the 1977-1979 models so much better than the 1980-1984 models, which always looked bulky in comparison. My uncle had a 1979 98 with a royal blue exterior and light blue interior.
Were those little red and orange marks on the side of the cars added to Oldsmobile?

Olds was just under a Cadillac as far as I was concerned quality and engineering wise. Olds was assigned by GM as the Cadillac innovator. If it was new, it was on an Olds first before going on the Cadillac.

One of the Best If not the best car that ever came off the GM line! However the interior is not correct. That interior was not available until 1980. Someone switched it guys. With the best of intentions I'm sure. But the pillow back wasn't available for 79.

Super sharp and clean car and I love that color. Just take off those awkward a** looking mud flaps. I understand what they're for, but they take away the god given aesethics of an automobile. Can't stand those things!
