4 things that would make this the perfect laptop.
1. Why don't you place on of the type c ports on the other side so we can charge in either direction depending on which is more convenient. 2 in 1 is all about portability and ease of use after all. I hate lenovo designers every time I need to charge my laptop in my car from the right side but they placed both Type C ports on the left.
2. 32gb ram is very necessary for multitasking. 16gb no longer cuts it. My 2022 lenovo laptop starts stuttering due to insufficient ram when I have multiple pages open at the same time. Base config should already be 32gb.
3. 7840u processor would be ideal as it has the latest architecture. AMD cpus ending with 35 is the old cpu just repackaged.
4. The fingerprint reader that was available in the previous gen is now removed. Add it back as fingerprint reader was more comfortable for me in some cases.
I know all the above would add a little bit of cost, but they are all worth it.
Yes I am really hoping for the 7840u with 32 GB refresh
2.1 HDMI port instead of 1.4 would be great too. And 4 spekers like on previous generation instead of 2 on this one.

I think you forgot to show the important feature(s) which is the tablet mode and maybe the pen.
When is this getting AMD Ryzen 7 7840u? The 7840u is performing pretty good on other slim portable laptops already in the market from other manufacturers. Gonna wait for thwr one.
Can Lenovo guarantee me that this new hinges will last for 5 years ? And not going to crack my touchscreen like 2020 and 2022 yoga did ?

@@riccardo1806just opened my laptop one day and heard the crack. I was always gentle with it, never dropped it or something like that. I think Lenovo is using cheap glue instead of the screws to hold the lid. You can google it, hundreds of posts in internet with the same issue. Just type in " Lenovo Yoga 7 hinges problem"
I think now they integrate the screen to the hinge as LCD Assembly.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 2013. The mechanism is now working for 11 years!
No laptop manufacturer will make that guarantee.

I wanted to ask, how durable is the new drop down hinge 2.0, as I am now worried because I have seen people online saying that after 1 or 2 years, that the hinge breaks and can sometimes cause the screen to break too. Is this new hinge design made stronger or is it the same as previous generations?
unless you have the premium devices from dell or apple whose laptop chassis is CNC milled from aluminium, all other laptop hinges are mounted on plastic substrates which are bound to break at some point

i had 3 issues.
1: the touchpad broke on one (physical)
2: The screen randomly turned yellow
3: the hinge was broken turning the screen slightly askew
My laptop was the lenovo yoga 7 14irl8 intel evo 1360p
I would buy this laptop if Lenovo can guarantee me this new hinges not going to crack my screen. Because last two yogas I had cracked my touchscreen. Very sad because I loved my laptops and was always careful with them.
This is exactly what happened to me! I am right now being offered this new version in place of one I had to send in for repairs because the 2021 7i hinges cracked my d*** screen!
I preferred the old placement of the power button. The new one gets covered when you have the stylus attached to it. Before you could push it down and use the button. Now you HAVE to remove it. There's no other option. The reason of the mouse and "pain in the neck" makes no sense to me. I thought this laptop was meant to be used on the go. How is it hard to press that button from the top right edge?

Would not recommend, have had it for half an year and the whole OS freezes several times a week, with all unsaved work being lost. Have had it in for a repair where they replaced the motherboard, still having the same issue.

The Pen only has a Plastic Holder to put in USB-A.
And I'm pretty sure there is no Dual Fan, cause there is only 1 Chiplet (CPU+GPU Combo Package) Both were no issue for me for every Day Usage for almost 1 Year now...

Yoga Pro 7 can deal with more heavy-loading tasks with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

@Lenovo-PC The error is always a "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION". The whole internet is full of this issue. A good example is this one: just google it
We're all waiting for a solution for over a year now. No update has been able to solve this major problem. Support just fallbacks to recommend a clean install of Windows 11. Like if people didn't try that before.

My 2022 version are better with quad speaker and frameless no rubber ring display with smaller bezel on bottom. Where is Zen 4 ryzen? This is a downgrade.

Unfortunately, nowadays laptops are made for anyone, but not for devs. If there is less than 32gb ram and a small battery, then it is useless for development.

The laptop I need:
- intel cpu
- fast ssd
- min 32gb ram
- >2k 16'' ips screen
- >10 hours of battery life
- without discrete gpu
and yes.. win only, no mac)
