    I am from Denmark and it’s a bit inconvenient to pay with PayPal, even if there is an option for bank card you still have to create the profile in PayPal so I couldn’t make the purchase. Hopefully there will be more paying options in the future!❤

    Hi Florence, thank you very much for that video ! Could you tell please, how did you knit the first and last stitches of each row of the fabric, to get such a neat edges to pick up from ?

    • @Enig_Mata
      @Enig_Mata Před rokem

      Not sure if you found an answer, but I think this video will help. czcams.com/video/yQkI9K2WhKI/video.html You pick up all the stitches and by double knitting and K2TOG TBL, you get a clean edge.

    Thank you for the tutorial. My question is, how do you go around the inside of the neck? Do you have to do any short rows, or does the band stand up?

    Thank you! Just one question, does it make a difference if you cast on an even or odd number of stitches?

    She is showing what's called an Italian cast on.

    I have a question. Is it possible just to start from the other end to pick up the stitches? I don’t have a circular or double pointed needle and since we have to break the yarn i don’t understand why that extra stage is needed. Thank you!

    • @satsumamoon
      @satsumamoon Před měsícem

      Yes but its hard to explain .
      1)Begin picking up stitches as she does, except : measure about one metre of yarn, work from there towards the beginning of the skein. (when you get to the end of the row you will have almost no yarn left to work with and the ball of yarn will be at the other end; where you started picking up stitches.)
      2)Transfer all the picked up stitches to the other needle , ie slip them all onto the other needle without knitting them .
      Now cast.on and work the button band .

    • @satsumamoon
      @satsumamoon Před měsícem

      Sorry, Ive resolved your problem but not in the way you imagined. Ie You dont need to start at the other end .

    Could I do a different cast on other than the Italian cast on?

    • @handmadebyflorence
      @handmadebyflorence  Před 3 měsíci

      I’d definitely recommend sticking to the Italian cast on if you need a neat edge! Unless you are using something else which will give a similarly seamless finish

    Can someone please explain how to read the sizes: (A, B, C) (D, E, F)(G, H, I)?

    • @handmadebyflorence
      @handmadebyflorence  Před 8 měsíci +1

      those are the nine sizes available - the measurements corresponding to each are given in the pattern
      then if you are knitting, for example, size B, and you see numbers like (22, 23, 24) (25, 26, 27) (28, 29, 30), then you would read the number 23 as it is in the same position as B in the size brackets.
      Not sure if that makes any sense lol it’s hard to explain in a youtube comment
