We are a little surprised by some of the response to this Flick. Honestly, we have dear Catholic friends who loved the video. We chose Nuns because they represent a wholesome sector in society. Our video did not encourage immorality, violence or rejection of God. We in no way thought we were making fun or being disrespectful to Nuns. Our desire continues to be to create wholesome videos that help us see the value in not taking ourselves too seriously. If you are not interested in that kind of humor, feel free to stop watching our channel :)

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to quite make of this video. I wasn't offended by it, though. I know that you guys try hard to focus on wholesome, family friendly, good-natured humor, and would never want to be offensive or poke fun at nuns. That being said, let me try to help explain why some might be upset by your Flick. As a Catholic, the religious life is considered a beautiful and special vocation. Nuns give up a future of possible marriage, having children, and a lot of personal freedom to dedicate their lives to prayer and service. This is a hard decision to make, and requires a lot of serious consideration and prayer. When people make jokes about nuns entering the religious life because they can't find dates or simply want to stay single, people who value the vocation can feel insulted and ridiculed, like those making the jokes don't respect the hardship and beauty of such a vocation. Anyways, I don't want to write a whole essay, so I'll leave it at that. Hopefully this helps you understand better why there were some sensitive reactions here. Please don't get discouraged by the response you got, not everything has to be a hit with everyone! :)
I use to love your videos, until I saw this one. I have a deep feeling of disgust with you now that I cannot help. I spend 8 beautiful, spiritual years in a convent and you portray it like this? What do you know? You are Protestants. You would lose nothing by taking this awful, stupid, full if lies portrayal of true traditional Catholic women religious off of your channel. You joke that the purpose of religious life is to escape men and show off in a habit. This was not humor but STUPID and offensive mockery of a most important part of Catholicism. You also all look foolish & ridiculous in your stupid dancing. If you can make public fun of Catholicism and call it humor then I can say these things publicly. I'm done with jostie flakes and my children will no longer watch you either. Sorry, but you have made an enemy today.
I saw you guys were getting a lot of negative feedback, so I thought I'd say that I like this one. It's a funny parody about being single and some people took it the wrong way, but I personally thought it was really good.
Hubby and I love Jostie Flicks - we watched them together very early on in our courtship! But this one caught us off guard... I think we made it 30 seconds in and turned it off - we LOVE the videos you guys do, but this one seemed a little off color and strange. Please make more like the ones you used to! :)
If you don't tell us WHY you were caught off guard or WHY it seemed "off colored" it is not helpful to us. It's just a negative comment that only discourages us. :)

Firstly let me say that I'm from a large family with several older singles, homeschooled....and so many of your videos are totally relatable and so funny. However, I found this one in poor taste and only slightly amusing. To me, most people see a nun's life as something consecrated to God, and making light of it, even without intent of mockery, is almost sacrilegious- almost like making fun of prayer or worship. (After all, isn't consecrating one's life an act of worship?) Hope that helps! Keep on with creativity!
This is the first Jostie Flick I didn't like. I am not Catholic, but did feel that this was disrespectful of another faith. We don't win respect and confidence by demeaning and poking fun at the religious practices of others. There was simply nothing funny about this flick. I think you should delete it from your server, and try again. Don't allow this "little leven" to infect your whole ministry.
